Fix your Bike Properly ! Ever had to change your Bottom bracket or indeed your Triple Chainset ? I managed to do this with this Fantastic Bike Service KIt, Every Family with Bikes should own one !! Bargain Buy and Absolutely all the Bits you will need for most repairs !! 11 April 2010
Ok,but missing the one tool I really wanted it for Decent toolkit and quality seems good, had a couple of jobs to do but the main job was to remove a 7 speed freewheel. Now partly my fault as didn't appreciate the difference between a freewheel and a cassette, but the tool provided is good for cassettes only. The freewheel tool required is slightly smaller. I know freewheels are used less these days, but most budget bikes still use them, so should be part of this kit. Had to order seperately but didn't get it from Halfords. So Halfords, don't bother with items like tyre levers, screwdrivers and spanners (surely every household has these anyway - well maybe not tyre levers but spoons work just as well!), just include the tools that people actually need! 04 August 2012
good kit got this kit to carry when im out and about for any on the spot repairs needed, great peice of kit has ALMOST everything bar a few socket wrenches, nearly everything you need for a bike. 15 July 2012
quality kit bought this in order to put a bike together as upgraded every part possible on it, this kit was invaluable as it has just about every tool i needed to get this done instead of taking my bike to a shop to be put together. love it!!!!!!!!!! 13 May 2012
Great value toolkit I searched the net for several similar kits before landing on this one - and I'm so glad I found it! Although I haven't used every item yet, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and can't wait to use it on my old-school rigid MTBs :) Thanks to the advice from previous reviewers, I bought a cassette tool and freewheel tool at the same time, you also might want to purchase some cable cutters - with all of this, you've basically got all the tools you'll need to keep your bike in good working order. Thanks Halfords - handy reservation and collect service and friendly staff too! 27 April 2012
Good bike kit Good bike kit with everything the ammeter would need to keep there bike in good working order. 14 April 2012
Poor Quality Cheap Tools I would not recommend this product, the chain whip snapped and chain tool also broke. Halfords accepted return no problem. I would highly recommend spending the extra on a better brand. 10 April 2012
it's ok i needed a proper tool kit for a while so i thought i would get this one as it seemed to have every thing i would need. after a week i i had to get a tool box to put them in because the tabs that hold the case shut have come off. i looked after it as i do with all my cycling stuff so i dont know why it broke. 25 March 2012

Hi,

I bought my voodoo bantu 1 month ago at halfords so I guess it is the 2011 model, and the bottom bracket is loose. I wonder if the bottom bracket tool in this toolset is suitable for tightening it (size is good etc.).

Also do you sell this toolset in your Galway store?

Thank you!

BR,
J

I recently bought a brand new bike for my daughter. I have to build it myself as its just come in the box. Would this tool set be ideal to build the bike or is it just used to maintain the bike.
Thanks

I build all my bikes and also maintain them and all my friends bikes and this kit is good for both but to build a bike completely like i do you will need other tools and also its the best tool kit around and for the price you cant go wrong and its worth having one even just to save you a few quid in repairs.

The tool would be suitable for some of the build but you would probably need some extra spanners, which the tool doesn't include.
