Halfords Ford 'Electric Orange' car spray paint
The Halfords Ford 'Electric Orange' car spray paint is an exact match for the Ford codes: 7 & 6FSE.
It provides a tough, durable protective finish on metal, glass fibre or rigid plastic panels and the advanced acrylic based formulation, which is compatible with virtually all types of automotive paint finishes, including cellulose.
Preparation is always the key to a successful project, take your time to clean, treat any rust, rub down and mask the area. You will need to purchase a red primer and apply at least two coats of the primer to ensure optimum adhesion and to give the best finish.
When you are ready to apply the paint, build up the colour with several thin coats, rubbing down with wet and dry sandpaper in between coats to ensure a professional finish. For metallic and pearlescent colours it is essential to purchase a lacquer, which will give a high gloss finish to solid colours.

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by steve8468 great paint bought loads of cans of ford electric orange to respray my bike looks amazing great colour and great quality highly recommend turned out amazing 05 August 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Kbrad4 Worth taking the time with this paint for decent results. Used this Electric Orange paint for respraying my motorbike and am pleased with the results. Like any paint job the preparation is very important with this colour as any small blemish is highlighted by the way the finish reflects in the sunlight. Using a white primer is a necessity as it takes at least 4 coats to have a good even finish. I did a mistake of not fully spraying the rear wheel all white and left a few grey areas... then I had to use one and a quarter cans to hide where I was lazy with the primer. All other parts of the bike I made sure were completely white underneath to conserve the orange and I am very pleased how its turned out for a rattle can spray job. The colour looks different in different lights with a nice sparkle in sunlight. Caught at an angle curves shine with a cool orange/gold effect. While in the shade it just looks like a standard orange which I would say is slightly paler than the actual lid on the can but the effect is really pleasing. So in conclusion, you may have to use more cans that you originally expected due to the amount of coats you need to apply but if care is taken and a good clear coat is applied afterwards then you will stand back with a smile on your face feeling well proud of yourself. 17 August 2015Rated 5 out of 5 by razmo ford electric orange spray paint the product I brought done exactly what I required of it , I have a vespa scooter that I wanted to respray from mint green to orange the product was excellent. it sprayed without any runs and looks really good, I am very pleased with the overall effect . Not an exact match but even the industry are having problems with this one due to factory processes involved plenty about it on www 07 February 2011Rated 4 out of 5 by BMXDad Paint review I used this to paint my sons BMX, Nice colour paint, but you need to ensure that you have a good base of white primer underneath first, then build up several coats. Lastly ensure you wet sand with a fine paper I used halfords 1500 grit, then wash down and dry, then lacquer over the top. Very easy to work with, did not clog or splutter, but does not last long so ensure you have orderded a few tins, as this is not always in store stock. 30 December 20101-6 of 6
