Rated 3 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.Rated 1 out of 5 by FUTosh Trash after 4 times A waste of money, after pumping up a tyre to the required pressure, I've tried to take the hose from the valve and the air leaks out. You can not disconnect the screw quick enough before the air escapes. On a cycle this can lose much of the air so you are back to where you started. The hose has also split so now in the land fill. Would have thought Michelin would know better but obviously they need to employ some new R&D engineers. 02 May 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by DesCheshire Disappointed with quality. This is now my 3rd try at getting a reliable replacement for my old footpump used for many years. Tried different makes but despair at getting a quality pump. This one seemed to fit the bill. However the hose has now parted company with the body of the pump at the crimped connector, after being used 2-3 times!! Worse still, I can find the receipt! 25 March 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Trud Perfect foot pump Single footpump which I wanted to keep in my car for emergencies. It has a screw on cap which is much easier as it does not allow so much air to escape when putting on or off. It also has accessories so you can use it for footballs and air beds or other inflatable items. Very sturdy and feels like it will last. 29 February 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by MrVeryDisappointed Same problem as everybody else This pump was fine except for two problems: the hose attaches to the valve using a screw thread which is fiddly, and the gauge is difficult to read. I say "was" because the hose has now started leaking where it attaches to the body so the pump is useless. Don't buy it. 13 February 2016Rated 3 out of 5 by DickvanDriver Michelin analogue single barrel footpump This is an efficient foot pump but after a few months use the hose split at its connection with the pump body because the hose flexes during the pumping action. The first time this happened, the tyre completely deflated. I took the pump back to Halfords who changed it without hesitation and told me that they had had a number returned with the same problem. The replacement pump failed after six months with the same problem. I am now on my third pump. My advice is if you buy one, keep the receipt as you will almost certainly be replacing. I do not know why Michelin cannot design a pump without this fault. A flexible hose connector or something to prevent the hose flexing by the pump body might help. Also, if this a common problem, why don't Halfords get on to Michelin a tell them about this recurring fault. 06 February 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Harry332211 Faulty product on your shelf I have bought two of these pumps now, the first one I took home fastened it to my car wheel and the flex came away from the body, completely unused. I took it back and got another one brought it home and plugged it into my tyre, I thought it did not have a good steel so I pumped it as fast as I could only for my tyre to go flat in front of me. Had to borrow a pump to sort my wheel out but when I took it back to Halfords guess we're the assistant looked On the pump? Exactly were the other one was not connected properly. This one was not as bad as the first pump but would still not pump air! Thanks for the messing about and the faulty goods Halfords. 27 January 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Terri84 Awful design - not fit for purpose!! Tried using this item to inflate my bike tyres but this screw on valve system allows the tyre to deflate when you're trying to remove the pump. It may work better with car tyres but definitely useless for bike tyres. What was wrong with the previous design?! 25 January 2016Rated 1 out of 5 by Alkers Very poor quality I bought one of these 18 months ago and had to return it for a replacement three times. The first one broke at the pumping chamber after about 8 months and wouldn't work at all. The second and third ones both developed leaks in the air hose, to the extent that whatever I was pumping would loose pressure faster than I could pump. After the third failure I exchanged for a different model. I only used the pump to check the tyre pressure on two cars on a monthly basis so I wasn't a particularly heavy user at all. When they did work I did find the gauge to be very accurate against my pressure gauge. The Customer Service at Halfords was very good each time I needed a replacement but I did keep the receipt. Avoid. 13 November 2015
