Voodoo Bizango 29er Mens Mountain Bike - 16", 18", 20", 22" Frames is rated out of 5 by 8.Rated 4 out of 5 by Gazzer1235 from Bizango Great all-round bike only issue is the description online is wrong as it lists a better fork than is actually fitted to the bike which is a little disappointingDate published: 2018-04-06Rated 4 out of 5 by Cok64f from Big performance for small money So I was at a crossroads in my biking life, stay 27.5 wheelsize or go 29r. I bought this bike to test the bigger wheelsize. I am blown away by the performance of the bike as a whole. It rolls really well, light, Stilff, nimble and very playable. All the think you need to his your local trails or the trail centerDate published: 2018-03-28Rated 5 out of 5 by TomR98 from Great bike I really like this bike, in particular the 1x11 gearing and slack geometry, and for the spec it seems a bargain. I'm going from a few years old 26" so it's a big change but all for the better. My only issue is the paint which has already chipped off in several places leaving small (3-5mm) sections of white undercoat. I'm 1.95cm / 6.4" and went for the 22" frame and it feels great.Date published: 2018-03-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Garth73 from Absolute bargain performance bike I bought this for my fifteen year old son and he loves it. I’ve been mountain biking for ten years and can genuinely say that this bike is an absolute bargain for the spec and performance. The 1x11 gearing is spot on, the Maxxis Ardent tyres are quality and the Suntour forks work really well (I’m comparing them to the many Fox and Rockshox forks I’ve used over the years). Everything just works really well with this bike and the frame is excellent quality with great angles. I can highly recommend this bike. Well done Halfords.Date published: 2018-02-07Rated 4 out of 5 by Mg89 from Great bike but wrong spec list The bike itself is great, looks the part and feels it too. The downside being a few errors on the Halfords site with regards to the bike, main issue being the fork advertised as the 34 boost(34mm stanchions) when in fact it’s supplied with the 32mm stanchions, I will be emailing Halfords regarding this and hope to find out if I have been supplied a bike with the wrong fork or if it is a spec error on their behalf. It also states the travel at 130mm when it is infact 120mm. The bizango has a great heritage and if your on a budget of around £750 I wouldn’t look elsewhere, 1 x drivetrain shifts superbly although the brakes feel a bit spongey, fingers crossed they wear in ok though.Date published: 2018-01-29Rated 5 out of 5 by Doey68 from If it was any more fun to ride there would be laws against it. After many years out of the saddle, I bought myself a cheap bike to see if I would get in to mountain biking. I did get in to it and decided to look for a better bike. I had been looking at the old Bizango. It had some cracking reviews and was MBR’s sub £750 hardtail of the year 2016. After extensive research on what I wanted, my list of requirements included a 1 x drive chain, either 29” wheels / tyres or 27.5+ and internal cable routing for a dropper post. The Bizango was 2 x and didn’t have the internal cable routing. I was becoming resigned to having to spend £1000+ on a Trek Roscoe 8, Norco Fluid HT+ or possibly a Nukeproof Scout. I didn’t really want to spend £1000 but didn’t want to compromise, especially on the 1 x. The price of the Bizango came down. I was tempted but held firm. It then went to “last chance to buy”. I thought, hold on, they are going to bring a new model out. When the new model came out it was a game changer. It’s a 29er, it has internal dropper post routing and it is a fully blown SRAM 1 x 11. Sold. I’ve been on some decent rides (Settle loop, Gisburn Forest, Barden Moor loop, Clapham loop and plenty of small local rides) on some challenging terrain, so far I’m not disappointed. Coming from a bike with 26” wheels it felt big at first. I got the 20” frame at 6’ tall I wasn’t sure whether to go for the 18” frame or the 20” frame. After spending a little time on the bike I think that the 20” frame was the right choice. The shorter top tube of the medium would have made the cockpit too cramped for me. It climbs well even on technical stuff. I’ve ridden extremely quickly down a long very rough rock garden (that was a bit beyond my skill level) and I can’t wait to go back and do it again. The specification on the Halfords website varies depending on which bit you read. It Quotes the fork as having 130mm of travel and 120mm of travel - It is 120mm. It quotes the Brakes as being Shimano Deore and Shimano M315 - They are Shimano M315 and they really are very good brakes so don’t let the slightly lower spec brakes put you off. It says that it is a 1 x 11 drivetrain with Shimano gearing and that it is 1 x 11 SRAM NX - It’s SRAM NX It says that it is a Suntour Zeron, 32t chain set. Mines got SRAM written all over it. I’ve upgraded the pedals as I ride clipless not flats. I’ve fitted a dropper seat post. I got a 120mm drop and it is perfect for pedalling when inserted fully into the frame and extended and fully out of the way when dropped. Any more than 120mm drop would have made the lowest fully extended position too high for me to pedal so be careful to measure up if you go for this upgrade. The paint on my non-drive side chainstay has worn clean through from my pedalling action. I believe that the paint may be a little soft in that area. It could just be a manufacturing issue on my bike and I will be taking it in to store to have it resolved. This bike at this price with this level of equipment is really good value. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.Date published: 2018-01-03Rated 1 out of 5 by jt043 from wrong brakes Spec lists shimano deore brakes but when i got to the shop it only has some basic non series shimano hydraulics fitted. other than this therest of the spec is good value for money just a shame it didn't come with the brakes listedDate published: 2017-12-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Perfect this is an amazing bike for anything and everything it runs smoothly and climbs any gradient with ease I'm planning on using it daily. but ensure you spend a decent amount on a lock as it is vey eye catching and worth a lot of money.Date published: 2017-12-16
