Apollo Kinx Junior Hybrid Bike - 24" Wheel is rated out of 5 by 15.Rated 1 out of 5 by Annoyed74 from Chain won't stay on Bought this for my daughter, within a couple of days the chain kept coming off, had its six week check and the chain still kept coming off, they took the bike back for a day to thoroughly test it, couldn't get it too do it, we had it back for a day and it came off again, bike replaced, within 5 mins the chain was off and I had a very muddy upset child. Halfords refunded the bike cost but refused to sell us another bike!!!Date published: 2017-10-01Rated 4 out of 5 by godders45 from Lovely bike, terribly stiff gears for children The bike is lovely. My daughter chose it as her birthday present this year as she really wanted gears - it has 21 of them. The bike is well made, not too heavy to life and she loves riding it. The only downside is the twist gears. It's fine going up gears, but she just can't twist it down again. Halfords were great in checking it out and making adjustments but at almost 9, it's just too hard for her. Even as an adult, it's quite a strong twist you need. We are planning to change the gears for the 'thumb' change ones that you can get instead but that's at our cost.Date published: 2017-09-07Rated 1 out of 5 by jodineil1 from worst bike ever replaced after 4 months we bought this for our 7 year old and within days it was broken. The chain continually comes off and the brakes continually jam. She had a ridgeback prior to this which was amazing and we got this thinking its a lot cheaper and will do her a couple of years......try 4 months....you get what you pay for. Do not buy!!Date published: 2017-07-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Rosiejai from Great bike My daughter loves this bike. A girls bike but not too girly. We bought it for her 8th birthday and it is the perfect size for her with the seat at the lowest point and should last a while too. Good quality and great service from Halfords.Date published: 2017-07-07Rated 5 out of 5 by Lucrowi from Great bike for girls age 8/9+ My daughter loves this bike. When she saw it she said "ohbits really cool, I love the flowers". It's not girly but still has a nice design. My daughter is 9 and is of average height, the seat has to be at the lowest point right now for her to be able to reach the ground safely. The bike is sturdy and feels heavy and good quality. It is light enough for my daughter to get it out of the utility room herself.Date published: 2017-05-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Anarchist from Very good value for money We bought two of these bikes for our twin granddaughters. They were delivered promptly, were easy to assemble, and the girls are delighted with them.Date published: 2017-04-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Work2Hard from Great bike and helpful service As with many 7-8 year olds, a 20 inch bike is too small (or they'd grow out of it within a year) and a 24 inch is too big. We wanted a bike that my daughter wouldn't grow out of. The Apollo kinx offered the larger wheels, but a smaller frame meaning that at it's lowest position, the seat was just low enough for my daughter, giving plenty of growth before we need a new one. Halfords pulled it out of the bag and built it a day earlyDate published: 2017-04-03Rated 4 out of 5 by Anto19 from Sturdy Bike Bought for an 8yr old girl. Size wise perfect with saddle height at low level, so should get a good few yrs use. Bike seems to be manufactured to a good standard with a rear de-railer protector. It took her a day or two to master the gear changing as this is her first bike with gears but overall she is very happy with it.Date published: 2017-02-14
