Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job. You get what you pay for and these are cheap for spring compressors. I would say that you do need to be very careful with any spring compressor, but moreso with cheaper ones. They can seriously injure or even kill if they aren't used properly or aren't checked and maintained. Read the instructions as it suggests keeping the threads greased to avoid them from sealing away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but you need 3 not 2 Good quality worked well. Fine thread so you have a lot of spanner work but easy to turn as a consequence. I needed 3 to safely manage spring compression so if there was any improvement I would suggest sell as a 3 pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laser Coil Spring Compressors Did it easily on Freelander 2 rear springs as had to renew shock absorbers. They are well made and did the job easily. I attached a battery impact driver to speed up the process

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not suitable for all coil springs Bought these for a coil spring to be fitted to a 11 plate Citroen c3. Could have got them cheaper online but needed them immediately. As it turns out the coil spring for this model of car is fairly long and the compressor wasn't long enough. Additionally the compressor kept slipping off the spring once the tension got fairly big but still not compressed enough to fit between the cups. In the end I went to a local garage and they used a pneumatic compressor. The build quality is good and it may be suitable for other makes of cars. Next time I'll check on the Internet for reviews.
