Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value CX bikers Purchased for my wife to race Cyclocross. Great bike for the money, you won’t find a similar bike at this price with hydraulic brakes. Bike weight is about 10kg which is ok at this price. Wheels are good quality but not the lightest, possible future upgrade. Tyres are non folding, will replace with folding tyres when worn to loose some weight. Frame looks great, with nice smooth welds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I've had this bike now for about 6 months and bought it to replace a specialised tri cross. The most striking features are the 1x sram gear system which is flawless and the hydrolic disc breaks. The stopping power of the brakes is breathtaking which allows confident fast decending. There are a few things I changed as soon as I purchased the bike. I always intended this to be a commuter / touring bike so I fitted it with 700 / 25c Gatorskins as well as changing the chain ring to a 38t. I also like a more relaxed ride so I've changed the handlebar stem to a 90mm. For the money this bike has everything and for the first time I've got a bike which for me does everything I want. Would strongly recommend this bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money, very light bike Only bike I saw with Hydraulic disc breaks under £1000 and also the only Cyclo Cross bike at circa 10kg I have seen as such price. I wanted to avoid cable disc brakes at all cost BTW. Hydraulic Brakes are very powerful. Bike is fast and the frame quite sturdy (my steel racing bike was too flexible and "bouncy"... wasting energy) but at the same time the bigger wheels make this bike comfortable on London's commuting roads. Going up curbs on this is easy. A pure racing bike would be a bone shaker. It aslo seems less likely to break spokes . It only has rear gears (11 of them) so there is less maintenance and risk of damage off-road but therr is a good range so I haven't yet used the lowest and highest gears. Easy change gears but cable needs retention in the first 6 weeks. Between gear 3 and 4 is quite a big difference bit that's ok. Halfords are really good at doing adjustments on breaks and gears... and explaining how to do it for free in the first weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Commuter, road and track, this bike is a great all rounder Wanted to wait to write a review to ensure that I had experienced all the factors. Had the bike 12 months now and have completed over 4,500 miles (mainly commuting and some days out with friends on their road bikes), mostly on road and track and have found this bike an excellent choice for my requirements. Always had mountain bikes so wasn’t sure about ‘the drops’ but now wonder how I managed without them, when encountering a full head wind in the middle of winter. The bike is easy to maintain and sturdy, felt very confident with the Schwalbe Rapid Rob tyres on mud and ice but have changed to Schwalbe Marathon Plus (to alleviate punctures) and have found a slightly smoother ride. Only problems being headset that kept loosening over a short period of time (Halfords replaced and fitted straight away) and the peddles are now starting ‘click’ when climbing hills (not surprising given the mileage), which may now be a good time to experiment with cleats. I think this bike looks very stylish and love the colour scheme, the bike still looks virtually brand new, even through all the winter weather (regular cleaning and general maintenance).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value, specification and performance but with a few flaws... Third cyclo cross bike I've owned and was hard to ignore the spec for the money on this. Purchased on the 20% offer and with an additional 10% email offer discount, so the price meant I chose it as a 'donor' bike for a new build project planned in six months. That said, the stock frame/fork combo rides really nicely. GOOD SRAM 1x11 groupo is superb but, as expected, needed setting up properly at home before first ride. Check the online setup vids for how to do this as 1x11 is a little different to 2x drivetrains and proper setup makes a world of difference. Ratio spread is good for 90% of circumstances you're likely encounter on or off road. Finishing kit (bars, saddle) are surprisingly good and saddle is the first I've had on a new bike that didn't need changing immediately. Frame geometry is generally quite good and handling is predictable and sure footed on and off road. OKAY Wheel set is reasonable for the money but should really be tubeless ready considering where the market is going. Mavic 319 rims leak like a sieve when setting up tubeless but did seal eventually with a pair of Panaracer Gravel King SK 40mms (these come up nearer 43mm when mounted and there's just enough clearance). The fitted Schwalbe 'Rapid Rob' tyres are okay for pure CX but useless on road and too aggressive and low volume for what most people will do on this bike. Tyre clearance is adequate (see above) but could be better - don't try and run anything bigger than 40-43mm or you'll have problems. BAD Press fit bottom bracket? Why? Really, they're a pain in the backside and will likely be the biggest cause of problems with this bike. There's just no need on an alloy frame of this weight. Go with an English thread external BB and avoid the issue to start with! This would have been a deal breaker for me if not for the fact that this bike will be donating most of its parts to a new frame within six months. And the colour scheme and branding... obnoxious. That is of course subjective but I'm not alone in that opinion and it does take away from what's otherwise a pretty polished and very good value package. So, if you can live with pressfit BB - and DO read up on what you might encounter with these - this is a very good bike at a pretty decent price, and a real steal when its on offer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CX Team great commuter bike that can go anywhere I've had the bike for a week and cycled about 100 miles on it, it does everything claimed, cycles well on road with excellent breaking and comfort and off road handles well on a variety of surfaces, sometimes at the edge of grip but it always holds. I'm getting excellent speed since upgrading from a 15kg Belmont hybrid bike and my commute (20miles) seems a much less daunting prospect. I was nervous about the hydraulic disc breaks at first but since setting off the first time I've found them consistent and not as overly powerful as I had read about, not once have I stopped too hard. The drop handlebars are comfortable, the gear change reliable and the 1x11 gear ratio settings covers hills and flats well, plus it's easier to clean and less to go wrong with one fixed gear at the pedals, I'm a fan. The seat is also surprisingly comfortable when paired with Boardman gel padded shorts, not once have I felt saddle sore on it. I have more keenly felt the small bumps in the road surface than previous as the bike has a stiff set up but again it's comfortable enough that this isn't a negative. I'm also not sure if the tyres are ideal for road usage, may need swapping at a later stage to something less gripped? I worry the current ones may wear quickly on a hard surface. The crew at Halfords Doncaster suggested separate rims and tyres to swap quickly between, seems like a reasonable idea though needing discs and gears alongside rims and tires it may be a bit expensive to do out the gate. I'm currently training for a sprint triathalon in 3 months, this bike makes that seem very achievable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Commuter Bike I bought this bike on cycle to work scheme as a daily commuter bike used on B roads, some not in great condition. After shopping around other brands came back to this bike as best value for money, added a set of SKS Commuter Hybrid Mudguards for the rainy days, they needed some adjustment and change of bolts to give better clearance but fit and look good once on. Used daily so far in good weather, winter is the real test. Seem to ride in the lower end of the gears, thinking of increasing the size of the front chain wheel. Sales advice and service from Halfords was very good. Very pleased up to now, so far so good. 6 week service coming up..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant CX Bike for cash Love this bike!, im a mountain biker and road riding tends to leave me cold but this is great, taking a racer on whats normally a (gentle) mountain bike loop with high road content is brilliant fun, shaved almost 10% off my usual time round the same loop and road sections where less tedious then normal. If you're not doing CX and want it as a commuter swap the tyres for something less dragy
