Solid performer so far Nice product which fits the bill so far. Can't obviously comment on longevity yet. The carry handle felt a bit flimsy but it's been strong enough so far although it feels like it might snap after a few years use. Make sure you get the correct sized terminals for your car as my grey import needed the similar battery but with the larger sized terminals - this was a bit confusing on the Halfords web site but I managed to sort it out in the store although I had to pay more for the different battery. 08 June 2010

I am looking for a car battery for a Nissan Micra about 2001 1000cc.

I notice that there is a UK build and Japan build battery spec with quite a difference in price. The spec of batteries seem very similar.

How can i tell which one i should purchase?
What would happen if I used the Japan build spec battery and it was a UK buiild Micra.

Answer: 
For anyone needing info about this question in the future, the difference in the two battery types is in the size of the terminals. If you can't take your car to the store for them to work it out, then check the diameter of the terminals before you go. Battery HB053 has larger terminals than HB054.

Answer: 
Take your reg number and chassis number to a nissan dealer and they will advise where built, also as long as the battery fits and the terminals are the right way round i can't see there being any problems

This is very difficult to determine without seeing your car first hand. Although the specification of these two batteries does appear to be identical there will be some minor differences.
We would reccomend visiting your local store where our experts can inspect your vehicle and advise you more accurately on the correct battery for your car.
