Coyote Connect Electric Folding BikeTake the strain out of your commute thanks to a bike you can take with you. The Coyote Connect Electric Bike helps take the effort out of hills with a 317Wh battery driving a rear hub motor that provides up to 20 miles of powered pedal assistance. The Connect shines with a flip down handlebar stem, split-folding frame and pop-in pedals to make the bike as compact as possible when folded. A lightweight aluminium folding frame also makes carrying easier, while offering the strength you need for the streets when you’re riding. The 6-speed Shimano Tourney gears let you smoothly use the power, while front V-brakes and rear hub brakes also help keep everything under control.
MotorThe Coyote Connect features a Shengyi front-hub electric motor system, integrated into the front wheel. The system is equipped with a Speed sensor, which automatically engages the motor once you begin pedaling to provide power assistance to your ride. As required by law, the motor will automatically stop assisting you once you achieve a speed of 15.5mph.
BatteryA Li-Ion battery provides the power to the Coyote Connect, conveniently mounted on the rear luggage rack. With a capacity of 317Wh / 8.8Ah and a range of up to 20miles per charge the Connect is ideal for smaller leisure trips and commuting. The battery re-charges in 5-6 hours, and comes with a full 2-year / 500 charge warranty.
Note; The total travel distance will depend on the capacity of the battery, rider and luggage weight, power mode setting and riding style.
Head-UnitThe electric motor of the Connect is controlled via a multi-function LED display –offering Low, Medium or High levels of power-assist. The display / control unit includes an integrated push button to switch between the 3 assistance levels, alongside the power On/Off button. The display is located on the left side of the handlebar and its compact size reduces the risk of damage when in use.

Coyote Connect Electric Folding Bike is rated out of 5 by 79.Rated 1 out of 5 by Boomer131 from connect folding bike I bought a folding connect e bike for my wife and she uses it for a one mile commute, in fine weather. I charge the battery every few weeks when it is not being used much and as and when it requires it. I was so impressed with it, that I bought myself one. Then it went down hill! My bike would not go any further than 10 k and that went to 5 k and it would stop-flat battery. If I charged it, it would be flat in a few days. I took it back to Halfords, even after swapping batteries with my wife's bike. Eventually I got my money back and bought a Carrera e bike. Happy so far! My wife went to use hers and it went a hundred metres. I charged it up and checked the charge- full. Again tried it and that also went dead after a short distance. I had the battery checked at a garage and they pronounced it U/S! It is only two years old. I think there is a problem somewhere! A new battery is £364. Absolutely outrages! My advise to anyone purchasing one is to be aware that you could only have two years use, as the bike retails for £450 todayDate published: 2018-05-18Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good Value Electric Bike I've had this bike for just over a year now and have used it regularly to commute about 4 miles each way per day. I fold it to get it on the train and continue my journey when I get off the train. My main observations would be: 1. The first thing you should do when you buy this bike is to change the tyres to some decent puncture resistant ones. The ones that come with it puncture very easily and I found the back wheel in particular a real pain to change. 2. Make sure you put the seat pole right down as the first step of folding or you will break the chain guard, and Halfords won't be able to source a new one for you. 3. If your public transport doesn't have lifts (like mine) then I hope you have been working out. The Bike is around 25kg but it feels like more because of the shape. Mine lasted just under a year before I had issues with the electric motor, or rather a connector, it was fixed under warranty but they tried to charge me for the labour. After a long discussion with the manager he waived the labour charge. Just be clear with them about the warranty when you buy it and keep a record if you can. Apart from the issues I listed it's a pretty good bike and a very good price. I do still have issues getting up the hill I live on, but I think its just because I live on a particularly steep hill. I'm out of breath after the hill climb with the electric bike, I never managed to make it all the way up on my normal bike.Date published: 2018-04-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Dread99 from Best bike ever Best bike ever had it at least two years use the bike to do Ubereats and DeliverooDate published: 2018-04-08Rated 5 out of 5 by DaveJF from Great Bike for the price I got this bike 12 Months ago on the Halfords cycle2work scheme. I use it for my journey to & from work most days & its great !. My journey is about 6 miles in total & I have 2 long steep hills to climb on my route. I use the top Assistance (75%)all the time & the battery lasts me 2 days when it is really cold & 3 days when it is warmer (April to September). I keep the battery indoors when I'm at home so its not too cold & it takes about 3 Hours to charge. The bike is Ideal for my commute & it takes me only 2 minutes longer than if I travelled by car. I can fold it up & place it in the boot of my car & take it with me when I go on holiday & its great to use for exploring "places new". The only 2 negatives I have with the bike is: 1 The bike could do with an extra gear as you have to peddle fast if you want to go over 15 to 20 MPH & 2: The weight of the bike, It is very heavy to carry!Date published: 2018-03-04Rated 5 out of 5 by MaryJD from Awesome wee electric bike which fits in my boot I have a folding bike which was second hand, so wanted to upgrade this and get something new. I also have limited space in my flat, so required a folding bike which will stay in my car. I have a Ford Ka, so again, space is limited as it's not the biggest of cars. This bike fits in no problem. Not only is this bike easy to assemble, it also electric. Another plus! This helps big time with commuting to and from work. I tested this out on the Clyde Walkway. A journey which would normally take 20-25 minutes was cut down to 13 minutes at one point. I also tested this from my mums house to work, 8.5km journey which takes 32 minutes total. This would have normally taken me 50 minutes on my other folding bike. Would highly recommend this!Date published: 2018-01-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Deborah449 from Love it!! I wish I'd got this ages ago.Was hating getting 2 buses to work now I am in control of my journey.I was slightly worried about the reviews about the battery life and punctures but I find that the low setting gets me up the hills (which aren't very steep ) The staff were great in Selly Oak store .Date published: 2018-01-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Tracie1964 from Very happy Love this bike. I do a 3 mile each way commute to work every day, if I drive, with the rush hour traffic it takes me 25mins, if walk it takes 45mins. I've tried biking there a few times but because there are a couple of inclines on route I arrive at work hot, red in the face and not at all ready to start Work! I thought this bike would be the perfect solution and it is. It's all cycle path to work and I can do it easily in 15mins and arrive fresh and I enjoy the ride. I can take the bike inside and fold to store it safely while I'm there. I've also been out for a 7 mile ride along the seafront with my daughter, she found it a little hard going on her mountain bike in places, but to me it was effortless. My daughter is also very impressed with this little ebike. Folding and unfolding is very straight forward. It's comfortable and easy to ride. Gears are nice and smooth, brakes are good and It's plenty enough for me. It doesn't feel heavy generally, only when trying to left when folded, I'm a woman in my 50s and I can pick it up to move short distances, or load into a car, but I wouldn't want to tackle stairs with it, but please don't let this put you off, its doesnt spoil my enjoyment. I do think ebikes and their batteries are priced very high overall, but I actually think this one offers great value for money for what you get. I highly recommend it for leisure and commuting purposes. Very pleased with my purchase.Date published: 2018-01-02Rated 5 out of 5 by ATWS from The Coyote Connect has lots going for it. I have just ridden my new Coyote Connect for the first time & I was very impressed, a lot to like. The electric motor cut in with the first turn of the peddles & I just flew. It took only a short distance to get the hang of the gears/electric motor power levels. As I said this was my first ride & if it continues to preform as it has today, then I'm on to a winner.Date published: 2017-12-19
