Eovolt are based in the city of Lyon which is situated in the Genas region of France. All Eovolt bikes are built in their own manufacturing facility ensuring full monitoring of their quality control checks throughout the bike build process.

Eovolt only use high quality parts from respected brands like Shimano and Samsung. The Eovolt mission statement is to make lightweight folding electric bikes through innovative design.

The most notable of many design features is the use of the seatpost as the battery which leads to a very clean stylish look of the Eovolt range of bikes.

The 2023 Eovolt Afternoon is the perfect bike for the daily commute and the wide tyres also allow you to easily navigate canal tow paths and other off road surfaces.

The Afternoon is so solid that its less a folding ebike and more an ebike that folds. It rides like a solid frame ebike but then you have the extra functionality of folding for storage or combining with other modes of transport.

The frame has zero flex when riding and the new 2023 own design folding cockpit offers extra rigidity on this years model. 

New for 2023

2023 also sees Eovolt ebikes move to using more intuitive torque sensors which results in a much improved ride feel.

Torque sensors deliver the assistance based on the pressure being put through the pedals so the system only gives you full motor assistance when you actually need it which also delivers improved battery efficiency particularly on flatter rides.

  • A completely redesigned folding cockpit & handlebar now featuring more rigidity and a new integrated one step locking system.

Choosing an electric bike can be a daunting prospect and the safety around electric bike batteries is often at the forefront of peoples minds. At Halfords we have a rigorous process to ensure these batteries are as safe as can be.

We inspect production facilities to ensure they meet the necessary safety standards, we also ask our manufacturers to run third party tests to guarantee an impartial opinion.

There are a number of UK and European laws regarding the standards that electric bikes must meet. Our batteries comply with international standards EN62133 which specify the requirements of the safe operation of lithium batteries and UN38.3 which certifies the safety of our batteries during transportation.
