Generally, you should be looking to re-gas your air con system every two years, as it naturally leaks gas over time.

Does air con use fuel?
Yes, it does - though only a little. When you switch on your car’s air con, it draws power from the engine, which can slightly lower your fuel efficiency. How do I recharge my car’s air con?
You’ve got two options: do it yourself or let a professional take care of it. If you’re going the DIY route, you’ll need the right type of refrigerant and a compatible re-gas kit.
