Frame & Fork

A smooth welded 6061 alloy frame with butted tube profiles sits at the core of the ADV 8.6 adventure bike. To complement its clean aesthetic, the frames, thinned tubes, and carbon fork work together to reduce weight and improve ride quality.

In addition to its engaging and responsive handling, the ADV's versatility shines through. It boasts hidden mounts for full-length mudguards, fixings for a pannier rack, dropper post routing, bottle and storage fixings on the top tube, seat tube, downtube and fork legs.

Groupset

The ADV 8.6 is fitted with Shimano's Sora 9-speed groupset. This bulletproof groupset delivers everything you need in a rugged yet stylish package.

A double 30/46-tooth chainset and 9-speed, 11-34-tooth cassette at the rear offers plenty of range. So, whether you're heading for the hills or spinning fast on the flat, you'll have the gearing you need.

Wheels & Tyres

The Boardman ADV 8.6 comes equipped with Goodyear 40mm gravel-specific Connector tyres, universally recognised for their exceptional performance and durability. The Connector has a versatile tread pattern featuring tightly spaced centre knobs combined with aggressive side knobs.

This combination offers the perfect balance of grip and speed, especially in loose conditions, making it the ideal choice for adventure and gravel riding.

Finishing Kit

Flared alloy handlebars allow for optimal ergonomic hand position on the hoods, more control while in the drops, and facilitate more frontal space to carry additional luggage.
