Most sizes of this bike are suitable for a rear mounted child seat, unfortunately depending on your preferred saddle height the small version may not be compatible- in this instance you could opt for a pannier rack and pannier mounted child seat.

Better Suspension
The Suntour XCM fork here is a step up from that which comes on the Vengeance and Hellcat. Travel increases to 120mm giving you even more surety as the trails get rougher and the lockout feature means you can cut out all suspension for those steep, smooth climbs and transfer power more efficiently.
Efficient modern gears
To enhance the riding experience the Furnace 2 also comes with a 2x (2 by) compared to other bikes at this price point which usually have a triple. One less cog at the front means less weight and less maintenance but also makes changing gears more intuitive as fewer choices help you get the one you want quicker… and don’t worry about the range of gears. The Furnace 2 comes with an extra-large 9-speed cassette at the back wheel, so you’ve still got those important choices at the top and bottom end of the range. Sometimes, less is definitely more!
Controlled braking
The Carrera Furnace 2 is fitted with Hydraulic disc brakes, which provide efficient and powerful braking even on the toughest surfaces and conditions. Hydraulic disc brakes offer better feel and more power when compared to cable brakes allowing for more controlled stopping.
