ABUS Bordo 6200K/90 SH BK

BORDO is the name for the folding lock design developed by ABUS, which combines high security and flexibility with compact dimensions. This combination is made possible by the hinge design, which allows the lock to be folded up like a ruler. The security of the hinges with the special rivets has been further increased in the BORDO 6200K by the use of discs as anti-sawing protection. The bars themselves, with their 5.5 mm thickness, have also been optimised. They are now designed as a stable double-T profile and are coated to protect the bike's painting. As a result, the weight has been reduced to a low 1,178 grams, which is remarkable for this security class.

Rotatable lock body increases connection length

The lock body, the bars and the load-bearing parts of the locking mechanism are made of specially hardened steel and are thus protected against most bolt cropper attacks.

To make the BORDO 6200K even more convenient for the end-consumer, the lock body was redesigned during the development and fitted with a joint so that it can rotate at 360 degrees. This makes it even more flexible to use and increases the locking range by a few crucial centimetres to a total of 94 centimetres.

Cylinder with protection and keyed alike service

The integrated ABUS XPlus precision cylinder of the BORDO 6200K is a small masterpiece for protection against attacks such as picking. The XPlus cylinder can also be used to create other keyed alike systems so that several locks can be operated with just one key. This is pure convenience for the user.

 
 

ABUS Innovation

An interesting innovation can be found in the bracket, which is included, it has its own small pocket for the key. This takes the strain off a bunch of keys and the lock is always ready for use.

Many locks - One Key

If required, additional keyed alike locks can be created to match existing locks or duplicate keys can be produced many years after purchase.

ABUS summarises all of this as a service under the name ONE KEY. Two keys are included with the BORDO 6200K.
