The front mudguard mounts under the fork offering better coverage when turning, great for muddy off-road trails. All Halfords mudguards are now made with at least 60% recycled material and this can be up to 90% depending on availability of recycled material. The Halfords set offers great coverage and will prevent most spray and mud keeping you and the bike clean. The Halfords mudguard set comes with all the spacers you need to fit this to most mountain bikes. It can fit common seatpost sizes 27.2, 28.6 and 31.8mm. Both front and rear mudguards do not require any tools to fit but the rear can be tightened up with an allen key to improve the fixing to the seatpost if needed. The front mudguard comes with the spacers needed for most front forks and can be removed easily for cleaning. The rear mudguard can be adjusted at 2 points to allow fitting to multiple frame shapes and wheels sizes. Ensure there is a 75mm (3") gap between the tyre and mudguard to allow for mud clearance and prevent any rubbing of the guard on the tyre when riding over rough ground. Enure the front mudguard isn't restricting the movement of gear or brake cables and is correctly locked into place before riding.
