The Boardman URB 8.9 is built on a lightweight, hydroformed aluminium frame with smooth welds and a tapered aluminium fork which offers fantastic stability and steering control. The frame has been designed to be efficient whilst maximising comfort and ensuring the rider has good head up visibility. Vittoria 32mm tyres give confidence with superior grip and comfort but also have low rolling resistance so speed is not lost. They also feature a puncture resistant layer to keep your riding as hassle free as possible.

The URB 8.9 is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear and with this broad range of gears you'll be able to tackle any incline. No matter if you're loaded up and regardless of the weather you'll come to a quick, controlled stop thanks to powerful Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes. The added bonus of a Gates belt drive make it ultra-low maintenance, all year round.

Aluminium frame and Tapered Carbon Fork

The URB 8.9 is built on a triple-butted aluminium frame with hydroformed tubes allowing some intricate shapes which give the bike a unique and purposeful look. This look is complimented by an elegant application of subtle decals which add a splash of silver to the high quality dark grey paint. The lightweight aluminium fork is tapered which gives additional width where the fork meets the frame and offers increased stability and steering precision.

All year-round practicality

The URB 8.9 is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear. The hub is sealed which means unlike a traditional derailleur system you won't have to keep cleaning and lubricating to keep it in shape. Sudden stops won't be an issue as the hub gear allows you to change gear when stationary and instead of using a chain to transmit power from the pedals, the URB 8.9 is fitted with a Gates CDN carbon belt drive. Designed to be strong, smooth and clean, the CDN belt is produced specifically for urban commutes.
