  • Boardman Mountain Bike Pro 29er

Taking the very latest in component technology and frame design, the Boardman Mountain Bike Pro 29er has become the benchmark for hardtail trail bike performance at this price point. The geometry has been dialled to create a frame that has great handling, control and comfort without compromising power transfer. When combined with a RockShox Reba RLT suspension fork offering 120mm of progressive controlled travel, and the 1x11 SRAM GX groupset, the MTB Pro 29 is a bike engineered for trail performance.

    • Frame: Lightweight triple butted X9 aluminium with smooth welds
    • Forks: RockShox Reba RLT suspension fork with 120mm travel, rebound and compression damping adjustment
    • Gears: SRAM 1x11 GX for a wide ratio range and precise shifting
    • Brakes: SRAM Guide R hydraulic disc brakes for controlled and modulated braking
    • Wheels: 29" Mavic XM319 aluminium rims with Continental Mountain King tyres for great traction and grip on all trail conditions
    • Please note that pedals are included with this bike

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product has great features I have collected new bike from the store in Cork but the saddle looked liked it was from an used bike. They said a new saddle will be to pick up in store within a week but no replay from shop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice bike Nice bike, great components.... Total bargain with the discounts... One problem... Scratched seat post as others have said previously. To be fair staff have ordered another one to replace it so alls good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boardman pro 29er I have owned this bike for 16 months and ridden it at least twice a week on everything from tarmac to single track black runs. Exceptional value for money. Great build quality. I have added spd pedals and a dropper seat. Everything else is original. Super light bike. 29 inch wheels great for climbing and coming down. Gearing is perfect. I have yet to find a mountain I can't get up. I take it regularly on the trails near me in Afan Argoed mountain centre where I have ridden them all. Forks are great on bumpiest downhill. Would highly recommend this bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cracking bike, priced below equivalent rivals Apart from adding spds, this bike is a cracking piece of kit straight from the box. Rivals fall short of the quality parts on this unless paying a big premium. I compared others by trek, Scott and specialized as I had up to £1500 to pay. I couldn't find enough in any other brand to sway me - especially the incredibly low weight and top notch forks. I've been bombing round Hamsterley forest since buying it 3 weeks back and can't see my smile fading soon. I love it! They threw in a free helmet and spds too - thanks Halfords!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice bike I've had the bike 10 days now and have been out most days in the rain and mud, which shows how enjoyable this bike is. It flies up steep hills and shoots down forest tracks. Getting in the right gear is a doddle as I can change from top to bottom gear in just two long pushes of the thumb. The saddle nearly killed me after the first 10 miles and I'm still toughening up the "sit bones". The black colour started wearing off the pedals after only 30 miles. The brake cable wore through the frame paint and down to the bare metal in only a few hours of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic deal of Boardman Pro HT I took advantage of the 10% off deals on the Boardman range. The HT is fantastic value with the frame and fork definitely the showcase of the bike. Very pleased with bike, price and the staff at Crewe were spot on! My comments on the stem are only minor and easily remedied with a low cost stem upgrade!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boardman 29er Super smooth and great on open tracks and bridleways. Crisp shifts and progressive brakes. Forks are excellent and the Halfords team set them to the right pressure for my weight. I'm 6 foot tall and the large frame is the perfect size for both reach and step over. Bought in the sale and got an extra 10% off with British Cycling discount.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 1 year in Further to my last review I have trouble recommending this bike as good as it is . I've had so many problems that I wont ever buy a Boardman again. Since getting the bike the crank came loose numerous times, last time it came loose and damage the frame which meant a new frame. I've had bottom bracket problems as well. New cassette at £80 plus loads of minor issues I've just had the forks rebuilt at nearly £100 and on my last ride in Derbyshire the free hub broke leaving me miles from anywhere with no drive. The headline components are good for the money but quality control and cheap bits like hubs have spoiled it for me. My advice would be to spend a bit more and get a better quality bike. I'm keeping it now ve spent a lot of time and money on it but Have bought a Whyte FS as well
