Boardman Road Sport Bike - 51.5, 53, 55.5, 57.5cm Frames is rated out of 5 by 20.Rated 5 out of 5 by riogrande from GREAT VALUE JUST BOUGHT ONE AS A REPLACEMENT FOR MY PREVIOUS SPORT WHICH HAD DONE 8000 MILES AS A WINTER. BIKE.GREAT SPEC FOR THE MONEY RIDES WELL WHY PAY MOREDate published: 2018-04-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Pippleton from Good value bike I bought this as I used to like riding (25 years ago) and wanted to get my fitness up. I wanted a road bike for couple hundred pounds to see if I liked it and was offered this one for £360 as it was the last in the shop. I have taken it out a couple of times now and really love it. I agree with the comments about the pedals and will probably be looking to change them at the weekend but other than that I’m really happy.Date published: 2018-04-30Rated 5 out of 5 by TallMan2 from Great Value!! Really pleased with this bike. I was on a tight budget and this ticked all the boxes for me. The frame and forks are fantastic and I have now got the option to upgrade any parts that I want in the future. I changed the pedals For SPD’s (Shimano M530 two Sided Mechanism) and also swapped the saddle for my old one. A few adjustments were needed after the first few rides, but this would always be the case with a brand new bike.Date published: 2018-04-23Rated 1 out of 5 by PIERRE42 from Terrible I do 75 miles a week on a bike lane and after 3 months the wheels have fallen to bits. Chocolate wheels would have probably lasted longer. A big thanks to the company for charging me for the repairs, really appreciate itDate published: 2018-03-27Rated 3 out of 5 by AZZACSB from Meh I've rode this bike daily to work and back since November now, I've had some issues with this bike (I don't know if it's just me) but struggling to change into the higher tier gears (on the crankset) which is quite annoying (especially since the chain has fell off twice doing it) My other issue is the chain rubbing against the front derailleur which makes a bad screeching noise (I found out to solve it you just tap on the gear lever) Pros: - Fast - Comfy ride (up to about 45 mins then it gets a bit uncomfy) - Nice aesthetics - Breaks work spot on (as I nearly crashed when I squeezed them first try not realising how powerful they are) - durable to debris on the road (still looks spotless) - adjustable seat - annoying toe clips (which you can take off but I keep to gather speed) -Durable to pot holes on the road... (I've been in plenty to know) Cons: - Rubbing chain against front derailleur - Takes some repeat attempts to get bike into the higher gears - Seat can get quite uncomfortable for long rides - Strong winds and this bike = Need a lot more strength to battle through I do suggest this bike to people who are new to road biking or want to get into this sport! :D this is my honest reviewDate published: 2018-03-26Rated 2 out of 5 by chaintwisted from chaintwister nice to look at, but handlebars are a tad limited in width meaning one's pectorals are crushed when riding, and the balance is iffy when riding. brakes too far away to reach. seat post tube over leaned creatring an unusual angle that stretches the body and crushes the spine. Been on a cheap ride, but neck and spine now clicking, right shoulder check an impossibility. better to cycle standing on the pedals to remove resistence on rear wheel - which is considerable. Looks alone are the only saving grace I can sumit here. Shall look to re-sell soonDate published: 2018-01-04Rated 2 out of 5 by Borer from Bored Man Great specs, but my mate at the weighbridge services claims the weight is closer to 24 pounds, so ad may be misleading. In all events the tubs tyres give a rotten ride, making the ride a grumbling sounding effort. The seatpost has to be set high to ease the effort employed, but the handlebars are unadjustable in height. Road Bike may be misleading, as I wanted a tourer kind which was light. Racing Bike seems the preferred descriptive term here. Overall, a quality build, but specs are ruined by poor design. Disappointed. cannot recommend. Also a 47 frame should be brought out soon. For sure have I learnt my lesson!Date published: 2018-01-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Simmo2506 from Great bike Bought this bike in September as my first road bike iv only done about 100 miles on it.The toe straps on the penals were challenging in traffic and difficult to get feet into so changed then to hybrid pedals. Best decision I made. Aswell as a softer seatDate published: 2017-12-11
