Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Brought my bike for a repair on 25/07. Was told it would he ready by 03/08. Turned up on 15/08 because I thought it odd that I hadn't heard back and assumed it was ready. First, they could not find my bike and it took a good 20 min to locate. It was not ready, hadn't even been started and I was told it had "cobwebs" on it. I was told I would get a call once it was ready. It is now 08/09 and I still have not heard anything. If there were cobwebs on my bike before, boy will there ever be now. Will I ever get my bike back? A very good question.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Customer service non existent My bike was supposed to arrive on August 7th. I understand that there has been huge demand for bikes given the present situation and it didn’t bother me that I didn’t receive an email saying it was ready for collection until several days later. I went to the shop to collect it. I waited in a queue for 45 minutes. There was nothing in the email or in the shop to say I would have to have an appointment to collect it. At no point did the staff tell me that was the system. When I eventually got to the head of the queue I was told that although the bike had arrived I couldn’t collect it until they called to give me an appointment. I had taken an afternoon off work and stood for 45 minutes! When I called Halfords to complain there is simply a voice message. The only other options to communicate with customer services are online chat with a bot which did not understand my question and an email address which returns emails undelivered. 1. Please tell customers in delivery emails that ‘ready for collection’ means ready in store but not ready for collection until the store calls you 2. Please put a sign by the till at the store advising people that they cannot collect a bike unless somebody has called. An email isn’t enough 3. Please ask staff to briefly say ‘sorry to keep you waiting’ if they have bern standing 45 minutes 4. Please have human beings answer the phone/online chat 5. Please have a customer service email that actually works!
