<span itemprop="description">I bought this attachment about two weeks ago and I should have checked if the power outlets in my Land Rover were live or not. I have since found out that they're not so this attachment works only for a few minutes until the car shuts down after which the charging process stops. If I were to keep the ignition on or have the engine running it would continue charging but that seems to defeat the object of the exercise. The traffic light system is good for a diagnostic test however and Halfords priced it competitively.</span>

<span itemprop="description">For some reason I thought I was buying a cable that would allow me to trickle charge the battery on one car from the battery on another. I thought I was getting a cable that would connect the cigarette charger in one car to the one in the other. What I actually got was a connector for a battery charger to my car. The battery charger would have cost me another £80 / £100. I decided not to take it back because it is useful to tell how much charge is in the battery and also because of the current lockdown situation. I do not think that the product description is any good for a non mechanic like myself.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Got this for. Camper van that sits for some time now and then. Works great, a quick glance through the window and you can tell if you keen to attach a CTEK charger to kee the battery in shape. Do watch out though as you need a live 12v socket for it to work and it helps to have a CTEK charger so you can plug straight into this. Their chargers are very well regarded though.</span>

<span itemprop="name">SUPERB! Check your 12v Socket FIRST Before Buying!</span>
<span itemprop="description">This is a fantastic option to use in your cigarette lighter slot or your 12v output slot,to save faffing about under the car bonnet to connect the CTEK cables provided to the battery. HOWEVER, do make sure your socket is PERMANENTLY ON without the ignition being switched on!! Apparently, on some vehicles, you can move a fuse position to enable your 12v socket to be permanently on, with no ignition on. This would need looking into carefully. Hope this helps.</span>
