BGA Pas Pump

The power steering pump creates the hydraulic pressure that makes it easier to turn your steering wheel. The pump receives power from the engine via a belt and pulley. As this happens, a number of rotary vanes turn inside the oval-shaped chamber. This draws hydraulic fluid from a reservoir tank. Meanwhile, the engine creates pressure to give you more turning force. Engine speed governs the amount of pressure – and therefore the amount of force – available. The pump applies this force to a piston in the cylinder to help move the wheel in the required direction. Do you hear a whining noise when you turn the steering wheel? Does the power steering seem slower to act than usual? These are both signs of a faulty steering pump

If you need to return an item we'll happily offer a refund as long as this is within 28 days of delivery, in its original packaging and you have proof of purchase.

There are several easy ways to return your item(s):

  • FREE in-store returns*
  • by post

You can return an item for FREE to a Retail store, but if you choose to return by post you'll need to cover the cost of postage.  However, if the item you're returning is faulty we'll refund the postage once we've received the item and checked the fault.
