Following updates to the MHT 8.8 and 8.9 models the Boardman MHT 8.6 Mountain Bike adopts the same trail ready geometry. Longer and slacker, the frame is designed to give a reassuring level of stability as you push down runs and Suntour's Raidon Air Fork is highly tuneable and lets you dial it in to your riding style and environment.

The MHT 8.6 features the new Shimano Deore M4100 1x 10 drivetrain coupled with an 11-46T cassette giving plenty of range with precise shifts. The new men's MHT 8.6 is built on 29 inch wheels which give fantastic rolling speed and smoothness and comes with Vittoria Barzo tyres which give fantastic grip both in dry loose conditions as well as on muddier, wetter days.

More About The New Boardman MHT 8.6 Mountain Bike

New Shimano Deore 1x Drivetrain

Upgraded from the previous MHT 8.6, the model features the all-new Shimano M4100 Deore 1x10 drivetrain. Thanks to Shimano's Trickle-Down Technology programme this drivetrain has the feel and look of previous SLX and XT ranges and with its 11-46T cassette it has a wide range of gears which will help tackle all terrains. The clutch on the rear derailleur works in tandem with the narrow-wide chainring to improve chain retention whilst a 2-piece crankset gives great power transfer when pedalling

New 29er platform

For the model year the Men's MHT 8.6 moves from a 27.5" to a 29" wheel. This bigger wheel helps the rider to maintain maximum speed with less effort with a smooth and sturdy feel on the trail. The 8.6 features updated geometry too, longer and slacker than the previous model this bike is designed to give confidence inspiring stability.

Using data from hundreds of bike fits and insight from bike fit experts, they have made simple changes to the touch points of the bikes. They've worked to develop a range of saddles using advanced pressure mapping and real-world testing to make sure any saddle on a Boardman bike is going to suit the majority of people riding it.
