Carrera Vulcan Mens Mountain Bike - 16", 18", 20" Frames is rated out of 5 by 75.Rated 5 out of 5 by Steven2403 from Carerra vulcan Does exactly what it's meant to happy on the commute and on bridleways nothing hardcore but seems to cope with it very happy with itDate published: 2018-06-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Bikesareamazing646 from Great bike I bought this bike for my son and he loves it, I wasn’t sure about it because there was some bad reviews about it but it’s a really good bike. I recommend it to anyone, it’s good for adults and kidsDate published: 2018-05-31Rated 4 out of 5 by Adamtobin from Good bike for the money. this bike is a awsome entry level bike. Will handle some off road trials/ gravel roads. Don’t exspect it to do what £1000 bikes will do as it’s cheaper for a reason. I have put wider bars on, lowered the stem and got some wider tyres on it 2.1” to 2.25. Completely changed the bike. Super happy with it. I would say the bike is an excellent choice if your in 2 minds about off road. You can then upgrade the bike with what I mentioned an extra £100 or so and you will have an excellent bike. If you wish to keep a hard tail bike I would suggest investing in better forks in the future. Or upgrading to full suspention if you won’t to do some heavy off road use. Brakes and gears do not need changes both excellent.Date published: 2018-05-22Rated 5 out of 5 by Tarmacexpert1963 from For the price its cracking value Managed to get this for under 240 stacking a few voucher codes etc, its a really solid and decent entry level MTB and for the price truly great value. Decent quality components, suspension is basic but with 120mm travel and rebound adj & lock out, it does the job and most bikes at this price offer 80 - 100mm. I will change the hand grips as they are quite hard and basic and will also add a quick release on the saddle post for quick adjustment. The rims are a decent MTB width so one worthwhile change for me was to put on much better quality 2.3 - 2.5 inch tyres as it gives a better ride/grip/comfort, the Kenda tyres are adequate for road and hard track being 2.1 size but a hard compound. Nice Smooth gear changes on shimano altus and lovely colour combo in Matt black. The saddle is fine for me and comfy but thats a personal thing. I built this myself as have a few other bikes and like to set it up the way I want. Its not a bike for major downhill stuff and jumps but handles tracks, bridleways and roots/bumps easily on the Surrey Hills. This will make a super Teenagers entry MTB.Date published: 2018-05-21Rated 5 out of 5 by HereandBack from Commuting Heaven WOW! I normally ride a Carrera Virtuoso, an amazing road bike, but not the best bike for commuting to work on uneven pavements and pot hole covered roads! The Carrera Vulcan is an excellent choice for this type of terrain. It is lightweight, has excellent gearing, great brakes, but most importantly.... It is such good fun to ride. It may not be as fast as the Virtuoso, but it is still very quick and handles hills with ease. Buy one today, you won't regret it. Go out and have a massive slice of FUN!Date published: 2018-05-13Rated 4 out of 5 by Carole1 from Aaron very pleased with his new bike. It is lighter than his old Kraken, so he’s happy. At least for now. Cycling definitely helps his mood.Date published: 2018-04-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Kieranminec from Great bike Great bike must have light weight and it good and I had 1 mile long ride back at 35 mphDate published: 2018-03-30Rated 4 out of 5 by Dd78 from Carrera Vulcan I purchase this bike as it suited my son in style and matching his favourite football team . Seems to Be a decent bike and he's enjoying it .Date published: 2018-02-22
