Voodoo Bokor Mens 29er Mountain Bike - 18", 20", 22" Frames is rated out of 5 by 5.Rated 5 out of 5 by JeffLl from Great bike for the price I've owned this bike a couple of months so thought now would be a good time to write a review. Firstly what a great bike for the price. To top it off I managed to use my British Cycling discount to get it for an even better price. Looking around at other mainstream manufacturers you'd have to pay at least £1000 to get a comparable bike. Seriously I challenge you to find a bike with an SRAM 11 speed 1x drivetrain, good quality disc brakes and a good quality RockShox fork, boost wheelset, Maxxis tyres etc. The ride of this bike is great, I'd been riding another 29er MTB for around 4 years before I bought this and I feel so much more confident going down rocky sketchy technical downhills compared to the old bike, the geometry is certainly sorted. I'm not sure if the wheels are technically tubeless ready but after a puncture I had a go at converting them ghetto style using gorilla tape. Gave them a quick wrap, bunged some Stans sealant in and they went up no problem, happy days. Any downsides. Well there are a few but I'm being a bit churlish when you take the price into account. Firstly the paint is pretty susceptible to damage. I already have quite a few chips in the downtube where stones have flicked up. Secondly the crank although an SRAM NX is an OEM version which means it doesn't use a standard SRAM BB with external bearings but a powerspline or similar. We'll see how long I get out of it and what costs are like when it comes to BB replacement time. Finally the rear hub, if the specs are to be believed, is neither fish nor fowl. It's a bolt through but rather than the newer 148mm boost spacing its 141/142mm. Could be problematic if I ever want to purchase a new wheelset but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. On a purely personal level I didn't get on with the saddle but everyone's rear is different so I won't hold that against the bike :-) Overall it's a joy to ride, reliable and puts a smile on my face.Date published: 2018-06-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick3812 from Excellent bike and fantastic value After buying a marasa last year on ctw scheme I decided to buy a new mtb this time.. As soon as I saw the new 2018 range I had three bikes in line, mambo, bizango and bokor.. The bokor won out with the colour then the spec, tapered head, judy gold, 1x11 NX and level brakes.. No other bikes come close on spec, it rides fantastic, it's quick and rolls over everything, the 1x11 just makes sense when you use it, the forks are plush and track well, I ran the maxxis ardents as low as 20psi and the grip was great, I've only changed two things, the pedals and grips but surprisingly the saddle is spot on this year compared to last year's rangeDate published: 2018-05-26Rated 4 out of 5 by Balzer1989 from Couldn’t get better for the money Brought this bokor when it was on sale. I got this as an upgrade to my bizango ( which was a very nice bike to ride). This doesn’t come with the standard used suntour forks but with the brand new rockshox Judy. The forks even though has slimmer stanchions preform so so much better and smoother. They cope with what ever you can through at them on the trails. On the bizango I loved the 1x11 gearing and this comes with the same setup but with SRAM nx which preforms faultlessly and are easy to adjust. The bike is very light for the price. Only upgrade I have made is a dropper post but the bokor makes it easy with its internal routing. All in all I love to ride it, it’s very fun and great for anyone who is looking to upgrade or a first time mountain bike buyer.Date published: 2018-04-01Rated 5 out of 5 by MusicMan72 from New bike upgrade. After 2 1/12 years of using, and wearing out, my old bike, it was time to get a new one and upgrade via the Cycle 2 Work scheme. My Voodoo Bokor (22" frame, 29" wheels) was an excellent choice and I'm really pleased with it. Excellent quality components, all on a surprisingly lightweight frame. My first time with paddle gears and disc brakes, but quick to get used and easy to use. Overall a great product, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to pay a bit more to get a high quality and reliable bike.Date published: 2018-02-20Rated 5 out of 5 by KevC1971 from Great bike Being 6 foot 3 inches I needed the right size bike and this new 29er from Voodoo fit the bill nicely. The Rockshox forks are really nice and expensive if bought separately. The role on the 29er wheels is fast and effortless on the road. Gearing is smooth and precise and I really like the 11 speed idea. Upgrades have been new riser bars, stem, pedals and eventually a saddle. This is personal preference to get the right bar width and height and make the bike overall more comfortable. Overall a nicely spec'd bike for the money and really nice forks.Date published: 2018-01-06
