Bike rack modular fitting guide
Expansion Guide: Connecting Your Modular Sections
To expand your rack from a 2-bike to a 4-bike system and beyond, follow these three steps to secure the modular joint.
1. Align the Base Rails
Place the two 2-bike sections end-to-end on a flat surface.
- Look for the black end caps and remove from adjoining ends.
- Insert the joining section as found in your expansion kit hardware.
- Slide these into the open ends of the second section until the predrilled top holes are perfectly aligned.
2. Insert Joining Bolts
Your expansion kit includes joining hardware specifically for this connection.
- Insert the bolts through the predrilled holes on the top of the metal rails where the two sections overlap.
3. Tighten and Level
- Using a hex wrench or the provided assembly tool, tighten the bolts until the joint is rigid.
- Important: Ensure the rack is sitting completely flat on the floor before the final tighten to prevent any "wobble" once the bikes are loaded.
Quick Tips for a 4-Bike Setup
- Stagger your bikes: Since the rack is now longer, we recommend loading bikes from alternating sides (one front-in, one rear-in) to prevent the handlebars from clashing.
- Floor Anchoring: If you find the 4-bike rack slides when loading heavy bikes, you can use the remaining predrilled holes at the far ends to bolt the unit directly to the floor.
