Halfords Battery Top Up Wateris put through a strict production process. It is first softened, then passed through a reverse osmosis unit to remove minerals and anions found within mains water. The water is then passed over two resin beds placed in series to polish the water to 'industrial grade'.

It's primarily used to top up water in batteries. However it is also used in processes where any water residues are to be avoided such as glass cleaning, steam irons and other automotive applications.
