Frame & Fork

A smooth welded 6061 alloy frame with butted tube profiles sits at the core of the ADV 8.9 adventure bike. To complement its clean aesthetic, the frames, thinned tubes, and carbon fork work together to reduce weight and improve ride quality.

In addition to its engaging and responsive handling, the ADV's versatility shines through. It boasts hidden mounts for full-length mudguards, fixings for a pannier rack, dropper post routing, bottle and storage fixings on the top tube, seat tube, downtube and fork legs.

Groupset

The Boardman ADV 8.9 is fitted with Shimano's dedicated gravel-specific GRX series groupset. A GRX 10-speed drivetrain that benefits from adventure-specific ergonomics and optimised gearing.

The double 30/46 tooth chainset and the 10-speed, 11-36 tooth cassette at the rear offer ample gear choices, allowing you to maintain power and speed on the flat while keeping cadence high on climbs.

Wheels & Tyres

The Boardman ADV alloy wheelset is tubeless compatible and easy to convert. To experience the added grip, comfort, and versatility of a tubeless set-up, you only need tubeless tape, sealant, and valves!

Featuring Goodyear's 40mm gravel-specific Connector, the fast-rolling all-terrain tyre. Its versatile tread pattern delivers straight-line momentum while retaining grip.

Finishing Kit

Flared alloy handlebars allow for optimal ergonomic hand position on the hoods, more control while in the drops, and facilitate more frontal space to carry additional luggage.

Comfort is key whether you're rolling over pot-holed lanes or heading off the beaten track. The Boardman adventure saddle features a wider rear section and pressure relief channel, providing the right balance of comfort and firmness for an effective pedalling platform.
