Frame & Fork

Using Boardman's flagship C10 grade of carbon fibre, the SLR 9.4 delivers a 5.7-watt saving vs the previous generation. In short, more speed and distance for the same effort!

In addition to its aerodynamic efficiency, the SLR offers increased bottle and storage capacity, utilises SRAM's Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) standard, and includes hidden mounts for full-length mudguards. These design improvements allow you to securely carry everything you need for longer rides, ensure hassle-free hanger replacements and makes switching to a wet weather setup simple and painless.

Groupset

The new SRAM Rival AXS groupset introduces major functional upgrades, borrowing key technologies from the top-tier RED range. It features fully wireless shifting and redesigned levers. The aluminium crankset has been re-engineered for optimal stiffness-to-weight performance, with material placement refined for efficiency.

Integrated chainrings enhance shifting accuracy across practical gearing options. Overall, the groupset is over 50 grams lighter than the previous version, offering a more capable and refined ride.

Wheels & Tyres

Introducing the Boardman 9 Series RD Carbon Wheelset.

With an aerodynamic 50mm deep and 28mm wide rim profile, this wheelset delivers lightning-fast acceleration alongside wind-cheating efficiency, making every ride feel like race day. Weighing in at just 1580g, you'll have no excuses when the road starts rising.

Complemented by 30mm Goodyear Eagle Tubeless tyres, this setup ensures minimal rolling resistance and superior grip in any condition.

Finishing Kit & Upgrades

A Prologo Scratch M5 saddle has been chosen for its versatile size, shape, and ergonomics. Its rounded shape allows for natural pelvic rotation, providing lumbar support while distributing pressure more evenly.

Pairing the saddle to the frame is a D-Shaped Boardman carbon seat post, as used on the flagship 9.8. This post improves compliance over a conventional round alloy post and offers weight and aerodynamic benefits thanks to its material and profiling.
