How Much Sealant Do I Need?

Minimum amount per tyre:

Road Tyres:

• 23c, 25c = 40ml-50ml

• 28c = 50ml-60ml

Gravel Tyres:

• 30c-45c = 70-80ml (add up to 20ml extra for increased protection)

How To Use:

Step 1: Shake the sealant thoroughly before use. If possible, place your bike in a work stand and remove the Presta valve core if it is removable. If the valve core cannot be removed, pour the sealant directly into the unseated tyre before remounting it.

Step 2: For pouch application, position the valve at 12 o’clock on the non-drive side of the bike. Fit the pouch over the valve, then rotate the valve to the 6 o’clock position. Squeeze in the required amount of sealant, using the pouch fill line as a guide.

Step 3: Reinsert the valve core and inflate the tyre according to the tyre manufacturer’s recommendations.

Step 4: Spin the wheel repeatedly and gently shake it from side to side to help distribute the sealant around the inside of the tyre.

Step 5: Regularly check the sealant level and top up when necessary. Muc-Off recommends checking more frequently in hot, dry riding conditions above 35°C, or topping up approximately every 750 miles.
