Raleigh Evo-2 Folding Bike is rated out of 5 by 40.Rated 5 out of 5 by Dia1 from Folding bike Absolutely love this bike. Folds up into a bike bag we purchased from Halfords. It is easy to assemble and then fold away. Seat is comfortable. Nice riding position. Comes with bell and side stand. Just be careful when folding away, because the frame has scratched when it touches. Definitely recommend this bikeDate published: 2018-06-24Rated 3 out of 5 by Cityblues23 from Wish I’d just bought a full size bike This bike is far too bulky and heavy to carry when folded. Luckily I don’t have to use the underground but have to haul it up a flight of stairs when I get to work. I also find it difficult to get a good momentum and wish I’d just got a full size bike.Date published: 2018-06-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Cleetus from Good bike Good looking, comfortable bike. Easy to fold & unfold. Folding frame, handlebar post, and both pedals. 7 speed with good quality gear shifter. Plenty of adjustment to accommodate most riders. Includes rear luggage rack. Evo2 has various improvements over the previous model: The handlebar post folding joint has been redesigned to eliminate rattle. The seat post has a larger diameter, helping to prevent it slipping down. The seat post can be extended further, and the handlebar post can now also be extended - both with quick release clamps. The rider position is slightly further forward relative to the wheels - giving a better weight distribution between front & rear wheels. Note this is a steel-framed bike, not the lightest on the market. If concerned about weight, you should get your hands on it instore before shelling out.Date published: 2018-06-08Rated 3 out of 5 by Travis92 from Decent bike for the price The bike looks good and seems to work well. Although it can be a bit fiddly to fold and is a bit heavy to carry on to the train folded and does not fold up that small. You also will need some type of strap to keep the bike folded up for transport. The only other niggle is he handle bar joint is a bit loose which does not affect the steering but is a concern, I have a self made washer in this joint to tighten it up. All that said the bike is a comfortable ride and is great for riding in city traffic due to its nimble steering and versatile riding position.Date published: 2018-05-12Rated 4 out of 5 by inayat from Budget folding bike I bought this bike to comute to my work sometime when london transport is not working, only used few time, good bike not very lite average ok,also on folding and take it to tube station itc bulky and heavy,i don't recomend for central london tube stations because bike is heavy. Its good for me because i only comute to go work within 4 miles.i can manage.one bad point in this is after folding there is no click for three folding point click to each other and when you pickup the bike you have to hold all three parts,i mean central frame, handle and seat.Date published: 2018-05-11Rated 4 out of 5 by WestCoastSurfer from Not for the train commuter Appearance – On first glance this is a eye turner with its grey colour, mud guards and rear rack normally found as an additional extra else where and large wheels with orange trim all for under £300! it’s hard not to like this folding bike. Folding – This bike is simple to fold like most other folding bikes. Release the clip and simply fold in half but this is when things start to go down hill for the bike. Yes the folding specs are shown so you know what you are buying but when folded it is a big lump compared to the other high end bikes and there isn’t anything built on the bike to secure it from opening. Weight – 16kg is what I have seen and when folded it certainly feels like it if not more. If you are looking at this for commuting via train then look else where, it is heavy and big and not the friendly commuter you think it might be. I certainly wouldn’t wish to be carrying this from one underground line to the next and you will probably find yourself unfolding it and pushing it instead. Other reasons for purchasing – You may have a boat, caravan or what ever, if so then this has to sit high up on your list. My negative is from commuting by train. A side from that this bike will fit nicely under a table, in the back of a boot, under the stairs and so on. Riding – i am 6’ 1” and i feel like a clown riding it. Whilst there is enough height from the seat the handle bars feel just a little to close for comfort, if you are any bigger than this consider trying it out in store first. The seat is one of the most comfortable seats i have sat on so helps when riding any longer distances. Gears – 7 or 8 in total i cant remember. They get you moving but don’t expect to be getting anywhere quickly especially when you have to tackle a small hill. Overall – Your budget will decide what bike you go for. If you have more money get another bike it will be lighter and probably fold smaller. If you’re over 6 foot again try in store before you buy. Commuting it’s heavy and what i didn’t mention is that there is no real place to hold it centrally without moving brake wires. If price is a big thing then this is a good alternative but Rayleigh do other folding bikes in this price range that may be more suitable. It’s hard to get excited about this bike it is what it is.Date published: 2018-02-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Melrose65 from My beautiful Evo 2 Love it Love it Love it, great purchase. My bike is easy to fold and close up. I take every opportunity to ride my bike to the shops or to visit the grandchildren . This beautiful bike is a perfect incentive for me to excercise my friends love it and are considering purchasing a bike in the near future.Date published: 2017-10-31Rated 5 out of 5 by Jlloma from Very sturdy and works well Had this bike nearly a year and had no problems with it. Very sturdy frame and anti puncture tyres. The downside to this is that it's quite heavy. Really happy with the bike , as it's reliable and sturdy. Halfords set it up but didn't tighten the bell or seat enough. Overall great bike and brilliant value for money!Date published: 2017-09-05
