Boardman MX Comp Bike - 45, 49, 54cm Frames is rated out of 5 by 59.Rated 5 out of 5 by Alan4 from Great all round bike As a road bike rider, bought this bike as a 2nd bike for family rides, mixed terrain and light trail riding. Firstly, a very handsome, well built bike. After 1 year of ownership I’ve had absolutely no issues with it. Have taken it on some longer rides (Newquay to Lands End) and found it to be capable and comfortable. Handles well with sufficient gearing. No, it is not as light as a road bike but it isn’t a road bike. Can recommend Boardman quality.Date published: 2018-05-15Rated 3 out of 5 by LBenny from A decent bike but not what I needed Bought this bike a few weeks ago as my old Boardman team was stolen. I do courier work and this bike was just not ideal coming off of a 9.5kg to 13kg was like pulling a caravan behind me, this bike is very back heavy! Beautiful design but lacks the necessary performance. I picked up the Boardman HYB 8.8 instead.Date published: 2018-05-12Rated 5 out of 5 by saddlebagsuk from Loving my bike Had this bike a few weeks now and really enjoying the ride and smoothness of all the functionality. Brakes, Gears and ability to ride light trails are all top end. I have managed to run out of gears on a long shallow decent where you wouldnt on a dedicated road bike but thats the trade off of a hybrid.Date published: 2018-04-20Rated 1 out of 5 by Richardtempest from Boardman bike Not happy with the bike i bought on the web from halifax halfords Guy rang said it was ex display just had a scratch on handle bar when i arrived to pick up it had a huge chip out of frame as well as sratch on handle bar took it home any way then noticed no bolt in brake leaver and a dust cap missing and a sticker over a bolt saying to tighten bolt up on crank so this bike as not been checked over at all Also got offered full service plan never got paper work for thatDate published: 2018-04-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Nooooooo from Great bike Really enjoying this bike, suspension good, quality excellent. The clolour is great, looks good on the road and as it’s a highbrid I don’t worry about rough ground and punctures so much.Date published: 2018-02-12Rated 3 out of 5 by MonkeyRider from Less is not always more Initially I was very pleased with the bike, but quickly realised how uncomfortable the seat was. Also the gears need constant adjustment if the bike is taken onto gravel Paths or uneven tracks. I was surprised that a hybrid bike should have such an uncomfortable seat and also no mudguards, I appreciate this is the manufacturers say if keeping the ipurchase price low but feel if the bike is to be used as classed i.e. a bike for road and off road then they need to think again.Date published: 2018-02-04Rated 5 out of 5 by hotrod24 from Great return to cycling Although this cycle was in a January Sale, it was at the top of my price range. I asked a lot of questions about the quality of its components and decided to pay for what I saw as extra quality. This cycle was therefore expected to well beyond its good looks. It did not disappoint! I had not ridden for thirty years but soon got my confidence back because everything worked so well and effortlessly (apart from the peddling - although this was helped by good gearing and easy shifting)Date published: 2018-01-31Rated 5 out of 5 by JimmyArctic from Great value bike for commuting Bought this to replace my stolen hybrid bike, which I loved. This is just as good, if not better. Two gears on the front, not three, means it doesn't slip as much, brakes are sharp and front suspension soaks up the bumps to and from work.Date published: 2018-01-24
