Apollo Gradient Mens Mountain Bike 2017 - 14", 17", 20", 22" Frames is rated out of 5 by 28.Rated 4 out of 5 by Dogdish from Excellent bike for the money Does exactly what I wanted it to. Only now getting back into cycling so didn't want to spend mega bucks on my first one. But I'm pleased with this purchase so far.Date published: 2018-04-15Rated 5 out of 5 by oli11 from Great bike for a great price Have used it a few times now with a mixture of road riding and a bit of off road. The suspension on the front and back are soft which is perfect for the bumps when going off road. The gears and brakes are great. Stops quickly and changes without much effort. Would have been great to have a choice of colours but the green is a lovely colour. Great bike for a great price.Date published: 2018-04-08Rated 3 out of 5 by Frasers575 from Looks Good, Terrible Breaks Bought this bike from Carrickmines Halford store 6 months ago. It looks good and is a decent option if you are looking for a bike to keep fit as I do, or use for work. The main problem (and I've seen similar reviews with the same problem) is the disc breaks. They stick badly with every wheel rotation and despite having them checked again on the free testing Halfords provide, they are just as bad if not worse and are quite dangerous to use. Also, even though I do not cycle in the rain and keep it locked up underground, each nut seems to of now rusted which is strange.Date published: 2018-03-31Rated 5 out of 5 by euros44 from Great value mountain bike When I was a kid I spent my life on my bike - my 7 year old son does the same, so I needed something to keep up with him. I did not want to spend hundreds or thousands on something, this seemed to fit the bill. I bought it about a year ago from Halfords in Blackwood, assembled it myself, which was easy enough - been all over the place with it, down tracks, up hills, even across the Severn Bridge - it's never let me down. Good, slick gear shift, good weight, and fits easy on my bike rack on the car, As others have said, the disc brakes (cable type) are a bit noisy and take a while to set up, so upgraded recently to Clarke's hydraulic brakes, which sorted that out - and that's one of the great things about this bike, it is an excellent starting point, and it is easy enough to upgrade things as you go along. Have also fitted Continental tyres, and a QR rear hub. Very pleased with it, looking forward to another summer with it.Date published: 2018-03-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Cazzie667659 from Good mid range bike Great priced bike especially with the Boxing Day specialDate published: 2018-01-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Gothic1985 from Great bike This bike is just what I wanted it does everything I need it forDate published: 2017-11-03Rated 4 out of 5 by welowkey from Great first MTB or commuter Other than a bit of tightening and tweaking, I really like this bike! and think it's worth spending that bit extra on than say the one that is lower spec. as I'm yet to find a bike with Full Suspension, Black Rims and Front/Back Disk Brakes at such a cheap price. I'm really happy with the quality, the handlebars and frame are strong, the tires are very durable and don't need pumping up that often (once every 2/3 weeks for me, commuting from work and back about 25 miles plus some off road mountain biking of a weekend). I'm yet to push this to it's limit, but I'm really happy with the suspension and comfort of ride. The grips do hurt the inside of my palm but I'm yet to get gloves which will resolve that. The bike doesn't weight as much as I though it would also. Would certainly recommend this as a first MTB or commuter.Date published: 2017-08-30Rated 1 out of 5 by KnightRider8787 from Awful Shoddy manufacturing makes what could be a decent bike awful. Squeaking breaks, poor breaking distance, chain is too big for gears. Avoid.Date published: 2017-08-03
