You can also see what's happening at home from anywhere in the world in the Yale Home app, with the option to record videos or capture images to review and save at any time locally or in the cloud. 2-4 days of recordings stored locally, with no need for subscription (storage is dependant on streaming quality 1080p - 720p and clip length). You can also download your video clips onto your smartphone via the activity feed with an adjustable clip length from 10-60 seconds. Subscription plan is available for 30 days additional cloud storage.

With customisable detection zones and scheduling**, you can define specific areas you want your camera to cover and use motion scheduling* to exclude notification triggers from regular occurrences such as your car pulling into your driveway in the evening after work. Customisable detection zones allow you to specify specific areas for your security camera to cover and privacy zones mean you can define areas that will be marked with a black bar, for example to exclude public areas from recording. Other intelligent AI functions, such as vehicle, pet and package detection as well as the option of cloud recording, are also available as part of a subscription.

You can also choose how you want to power your camera, either with the integrated rechargeable battery or reliably connect it to a permanent power supply (Solar Power Charger or Outdoor USB cable both sold seperately). The battery-operated Yale Smart Outdoor Camera can also be used indoors as a flexible surveillance camera to meet all individual security requirements.
