24/7 Protection for Your Vehicle
ELITE 8 detects and records a wide range of incidents such as driving impacts, parking impacts, sudden acceleration, heavy braking and sharp turns using the onboard G-Sensor and GPS technology.
Pre-Event Recording
ELITE 8’s 1-minute Event clips include an invaluable 10-second pre-incident buffer to show indisputable proof of responsibility, ready for inclusion in Event clips, so you get the full picture of what happened.
Event Protection
ELITE 8 constantly records in a loop. When the MicroSD card storage is full, older clips are automatically overwritten by newer footage. With its Event File Protection feature, ELITE 8 ensures that up to 50 pieces of critical footage is not overwritten by normal driving clips.
Advanced Parking Modes
With BlackVue’s advanced Parking Mode technology, ELITE 8 can protect your car even when you’re not around, capable of providing hours of parking monitoring without depleting your vehicle’s battery.
Buffered Parking Mode
ELITE 8 includes two Parking Mode settings that support buffered recording, meaning the event clips include the 10-seconds leading up to the impact.
Motion Detection: In addition to impact Events, ELITE 8 records a 1-minute buffered video whenever a motion is detected by the front or rear camera.
Timelapse: In addition to impact Events, ELITE 8 continuously records at 1 frame per second. Each 1-minute video therefore covers 30 minutes of real time.
*In both Motion Detection and Timelapse mode, ELITE 8 also records buffered Event clips in case of an impact.
Power Saving Parking Mode
Ultra-Low Power Consumption: In Power Saving Mode, the dash cam minimizes power consumption by going into standby, then wakes up on impact and goes back to standby mode after 1 min recording. Provides several weeks of protection when hardwired to a car with a healthy battery and up to several months of protection when paired with BlackVue Ultra Battery (B-130A).
Ultra-Fast Wakeup Time: ELITE 8’s ultra-fast bootup lets it start recording in the blink of an eye. Catch useful evidence footage as the camera wakes up on impact and starts recording within 1 second, then goes back to standby mode after 1 min of recording.

With BlackVue Cloud ELITE 8 is compatible with BlackVue’s industry-leading Cloud service. A unique suite of app-based features providing additional functionality including Live View, Remote Video Playback, Video Backup, Realtime Tracking and Emergency Notification Alerts.
Always-On 4G Connectivity
ELITE 8 is upgradable to full 4G always-on Cloud Connectivity, with the addition of the CM100LTE external connectivity module and data SIM, meaning that you are connected to your dash cam 24/7 via the BlackVue app, and always able to receive notifications and remotely view video clips in the event of an incident.

Supercapacitor: provides short-term power for error-free recording in case of power loss. Highly resistant and stable in extremely hot and cold temperatures.
Overheat protection: ELITE 8 operates at temperatures ranging from -20°C (-4°F) to +65°C (149°F). If the ambient temperature reaches 70°C (158°F), it shuts down to protect itself. When it's down to 65°C, it turns back on.
