Rain-X Anti-Fog 200ml is rated out of 5 by 31.Rated 1 out of 5 by Grobelaar from Only works as a practical joke.. This stuff is absolutely terrible. You put some on a cloth, wipe it on the inside of the windscreen and leave it to 'dry'. I say 'dry' because it is like baby oil. You are then supposed to wipe it off, but all you do is move it around. You wind up with oily smears all over the inside of your windscreen. I've just been out rubbing for half an hour. I've got through a roll of kitchen towel, two dusters and a chammie leather. I even got my neighbours terrier on it. Just when you think you are winning, you move, the light hits the windscreen differently and it looks as though you're looking through vaseline-coated cling film. And the joke is that, once you finally get the screen clear, it starts to fog up again cos you've rubbed all of the whatever-it-is off. If I could give a minus score, I would. And So would Jeff, the neighbours pooch.Date published: 2018-11-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Imrie83 from Great product. It works exactly as it should, no more fogging up of the windscreen... just word of advise - after applying let if try and buff it out really thoroughly and then a little bit more - otherwise it will leave smudges on the glass.Date published: 2018-11-04Rated 4 out of 5 by YouLoveIt from Works fantastically. Just make sure to really rub it in. I have a 1990 weekend toy that always used to mist up on cold evenings and cold mornings, which made visibility a pain. So, I thought I'd give this a go (since cat litter didn't work either...). And I must say, so far, it has done what it says on the bottle. None of my windows steam up and it's working great. One thing I will say though, just make sure you really rub it in with a microfiber cloth until the smears have disappeared. As it could smear up the windows if you don't. This stuff has the viscosity of water, and smells like nail varnish. So, just make sure you really rub it in and let the car air out a bit before driving.Date published: 2018-03-12Rated 1 out of 5 by Samster from Honest opinion Firstly the car.....13 plate Honda Civic hatch The rear window is a real problem with mist first thing in a morning, the windscreen although not quite as bad with misting I can't remember ever owning a car that seemed to miss up with condensation like this The reviews worried me.... Yes the front windscreen is very difficult to clean from the inside because of the steep angle and how it goes under the back of the dashboard So basically you wouldn't want to waist your time smearing Vaseline all over the inside of the windscreen unless you want to spend a month cleaning the stuff off So with this in mind the plan was to test this product on the rear window and the side windows, leave it a month before taking the plunge with the windscreen The test..I work in a Laboratory in the steel industry as a metallurgist, I gave this product a full and honest test, Applying it 3 to the inner glass of the car over a 2 week period, quite hard going because it takes some buffing out (THANK GOODNESS I READ THE REVIEWS AND DIDNT APPLY THIS Mmm? TO THE WINDSCREEN) I followed the instructions to the letter I cleaned the windows spotlessly before applying this product, used microfibre clothes etc etc and etc Result windows still misted and covered in what I can best describe as a wax coating kinda like someone had rubbed the inside of my windows with candle wax or a thin smear of Vaseline, This is proving to be an absolute nightmare to remove from the glass, you think that you have removed every trace of it until the next morning and the cold overnight air has turned this stuff into was again Vinegar failed to remove this stuff I'm now trying methanol Don't no really DONTDate published: 2018-01-26Rated 1 out of 5 by rgs51 from Do not waste your money. This product is completely useless, in fact using it causes you more problems than fogging of your screen. It deposits a greasy film which will not buff up. When you drive at night, this causes real visibility problems with oncoming headlights. To add insult to injury the screen now fogs up much worse than before the treatment. Do not buy this product - it simply does not workDate published: 2017-12-29Rated 5 out of 5 by MetalVegito from Works as advertised My car has an issue that the windows fog up a lot. Used in on it and I haven't had any issues with fogged up windows anymore.Date published: 2017-04-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Damont from Just make sure you clean your windows This stuff works brilliantly and only takes 10 mins to put on. I've even got it on my bathroom mirror. If you follow the directions and make sure your windows are clean before you put it on you won't have any problems!Date published: 2017-01-16Rated 1 out of 5 by MIchalha from Trouble, trouble, trouble - avoid! At first I was satisfied. It took nearly an hour to apply properly without leaving any smears. A bit long for a product that's supposed to save time, but I thought it would be worth it if it made my mornings easier. It did, for two weeks or so. Once the weather got chilly, the inside of my window started freezing! Every time the temperature dropped to 0 or below, I found myself sitting in the car for 10 minutes every morning untill it unfroze. And that's not even the worst part of it. I've been struggling to clear this product off my windscreen for a month now. I cleaned it two times myself, then I paid to clean the windows at a car wash and it still freezes and leaves terrible smears when it unfreezes. This is a nightmare and I sitll didn't manage to get rid of this fully! Long story short - only use it if it doesn't rop below 0 degrees where you live. Otherwise, it's a pointless product!Date published: 2016-12-28
