The newest narrower SRAM PC-1170 Hollow Pin 11Spd PowerLock Chain (114 links) Silver features more heavily chamfered outer plates for improved shifting and quieter running.SRAM's 11-speed PC 1170 offers improved shifting and better gear ratios. Of course, it also comes with SRAM's legendary PowerLink, which makes chain removal and drivetrain cleaning as easy as pie. Modified from the PC-1070 chain, the PC-1170 is slightly narrower than its forebear, to suits the smaller tolerances required by an 11-speed cassette.

It has hollow pins, which save 20g of weight without decreasing strength, and has new inner and outer finishes for improved smoothness. The PC-1170 also ships with a pre-applied coating of SRAM's PowerLube to increase the lifetime of the chain and deliver smooth and quiet operation, so it's able to ride straight out of the box.
