The limited-edition Deemax DH YLW 29 wheel celebrates the 25th anniversary of the iconic Deemax DH in style. Featuring its legendary design in an even brighter yellow, this tribute wheel pays homage to the legends who have written the greatest pages in its history, including Nicolas Vouilloz, Greg Minaar and Sam Hill.

This exceptional wheel was designed at the foot of the French Alps and developed, tested and approved by the riders in the Mavic DH team. It features a 30mm wide welded rim specifically designed to absorb the most violent impacts and to smooth out the vibrations of riding, providing maximum confidence and active relaxation on aggressive terrain.

The Deemax DH YLW is fitted with 28 J-Bend spokes in swaged steel, creating the best possible balance between robustness and compliance for maximum efficiency on the most demanding descents. Designed to be quick and easy to repair in the event of a failure, these spokes don’t require a tedious pit stop to get back on the track quickly. Each wheel comes with two replacement spokes for even greater peace of mind.

The Deemax DH YLW 29’s wide rim shape makes it easy to fit DH tyres with cross-sections between 2.0" and 3.0", offering riders exceptional versatility to adapt their tyre setup to any condition.

• Maxtal aluminium alloy – Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminium alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.
• ISM light rim technology – Inter Spoke Milling is an exclusive Mavic patented concept. The ISM involves the machining of the lower bridge of the rim between each spoke hole to create a light and rigid rim without reducing the durability of the rim.
• Instant Drive 360 freewheel technology – The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and efficient. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.
• UST tubeless technology – Traction and control. Universal Standard for Tubeless. Ready to ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort whilst reducing inertia and flats.
• SUP welding technology – Factory Welded Process, stronger and smoother joint. After bending, the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish.
• QRM Auto bearing preload technology – The cartridge bearings are of course double sealed with C3 internal clearance. Their preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play in the long run.

Compatibility:

• SRAM XD driver body (freehub body) is compatible with SRAM XD Mountain Bike cassettes only. Freehub conversion kits can be purchased separately for Shimano Micro Spline or Shimano HG cassettes.
• Front wheel is configured for forks with 20x110mm thru axle spacing but can be converted to 15x110mm thru axle with included adapter kit. Torque cap adapter kit is also available separately to convert the front wheel hub ends to 20x31mm.
• Rear wheel is available with either 12x148mm (boost) thru axle spacing or 12x157mm (super boost) thru axle spacing. Rear 12x148mm (boost) option can be converted to 9x141mm boost quick release with adapter kit available separately. Rear 12x157mm (super boost) option can be converted to 12x150mm thru axle rear spacing with adapter kit available separately.
