Following in the footsteps of the venerable Ksyrium Elite and Ksyrium Pro, the all-new Ksyrium SL Disc lives up to that standard. If you're looking for one aluminium wheelset for weekend races and training mileage, wherever the road takes you, this is your best choice.

This new wheel is superlight (120g lighter than the former Ksyrium Elite UST Disc) and durable as ever thanks to our patented ISM4D technology. This manufacturing process removes all excess material between each spoke hole while keeping the rim wall thick enough where spoke tension and stress is the highest. Those rims are made in France, in our aluminium rim factory.

The double-butted spokes contribute to the weight reduction while making the wheel more responsive. These spokes also have a patented elliptical shape that can save 5 watts for added efficiency.

Stiffness is optimised using Fore technology. The upper bridge is not drilled, so it remains strong and rigid and doesn't require the use of a rim tape (another 30g saved per wheel). The rim bed's new shape makes it easier than ever to mount and remove tyres, and our UST Tubeless technology improves rolling resistance and grip while reducing the risk of punctures. Our new Infinity hub platform optimises stiffness and power transfer with highly controlled spoke tension, while an Instant Drive 360 freewheel coupled with our automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) delivers fast engagement and durability. Engineered specifically for disc brakes, the wheels are compatible with a 12x100 axle up front, and 12x142 rear and can convert to Quick Release with adapters. For Centre Lock disc rotors only. It's available for Shimano, Sram XD-Road cassettes or Campagnolo.

Key Technology:

• Maxtal aluminium alloy: Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminium alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.

• ISM 4D light rim technology: Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions is an exclusive Mavic patented concept. The ISM 4D significantly reduces the weight and inertia without compromising durability. Quicker accelerations, better handling and more resistance; the right mix to make the most of any ride the smooth profile also helps reducing aerodynamic drag.

• Fore tapeless tubeless technology: Stiffer and stronger. Instead of being drilled, the lower rim bridge is pushed up on the inside, then threaded to enable the spoke nipples to be directly screwed in it, leaving the upper rim bridge intact.

• Instant Drive 360 freewheel technology: The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and efficient. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.

• UST tubeless technology: Traction and control. Universal Standard for Tubeless. Ready to ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort whilst reducing inertia and flats.

• SUP welding technology: Stronger and smoother joint. After bending, the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish.

• Infinity hub design: Efficient power transfer thanks to optimised non-contact spoke lacing (no noise under load) and tension distribution. The length of the spokes at the front and rear is identical. Maintenance is easy thanks to a tool-free solution.

• QRM Auto bearing preload technology: The cartridge bearings are of course double sealed with C3 interna; clearance. Their preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play in the long run.

Compatibility:
