The wider rim profile is optimized for tubeless tyres, allowing for lower tyre pressure. This not only reduces rolling resistance but also provides better vibration damping, ensuring maximum energy efficiency on every ride. For optimal aerodynamics and rolling resistance, a 28mm tyre is recommended.

Zipp’s signature 58mm Sawtooth rim shape, with integrated Hyperfoils, offers our most aerodynamic and stable design yet. The 454 NSW is also built around Zipp’s Total System Efficiency (TSE), a holistic approach to reducing the four primary speed inhibitors: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses.

A standout feature of the 454 NSW is its hookless rims. This innovative design creates a seamless tyre-to-rim transition, improving aerodynamics and contributing to the wheel’s overall efficiency. The hookless construction also enables better resin distribution, resulting in a lighter and stronger wheel.

Equipped with the ZR1 SL hub set, the 454 NSW features ceramic bearings and a quick 66-point engagement system, providing exceptional responsiveness. The new hub set is 30g lighter than its predecessor, further enhancing the wheel’s performance.
