The fuel pump on the 1.6 CDTi engines from Vauxhall is mounted on the rear of the engine and when removal is required for service or repair the pump sprocket must be held in place or the drive chain will drop into the engine requiring an engine rebuild. The Laser 7998 has been specifically designed to allow the pump sprocket to be held and the pump pushed out with the minimum of fuss and work.
