Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor communication and service Bought my bike through ‘bike to work’ scheme. Firstly the bike was not in stock (after a lot of confusement from the person serving us). We were told that we’d get a phone call in the next week to find out when we could expect it to arrive. Two weeks later and no phone call. So we rang up- they said someone should have rung us and did apologise. They then informed us the bike was still not in stock so gave me other options- which was fine. And that hopefully it would be in sometime in the week. So I waited for another phone call to see if it had come in. (This was now almost a month after going in to the shop the first time). I didn’t receive a phone call so went in- for them to tell me that it had been in for ages and the staff had all been chatting about it in group WhatsApp chat. We discussed that I didn’t need to print out the bike to work voucher as the email would suffice (in a paper free way). However, when my other half went to collect the bike the next day this was no longer acceptable. So we had to go back the next day after that with the paper work to finally receive it. Overall the communication from Halfords was not good and each member of staff seemed to have a different way of doing things and they could also not communicate well with each other. It was made clear that these issues were our fault and that (except for one apology about not getting in contact over phone the first time) they were not at fault. We found the service unhelpful, not consistent and lacking with regards to customer service. I would not choose to go back to this shop again due to this and would advise others the same. The bike, however, is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New battery Halfords checked old battery and found it faulty. Replaced with new in stock battery, reset computer. Now stop/start works etc. Been working well since, some things took a little while to reset after fitting.
