Are camping groundsheets waterproof?
Yes, nearly all camp ground sheets are made of water-resistant or waterproof materials such as polyethylene or PVC. This keeps your tent dry from wet ground and provides a convenient clean-up after your excursion.
Do tents come with groundsheet?
Most contemporary tents are fitted with an integrated or removable groundsheet, particularly for family, dome, and tunnel tents. Integrated (or sewn-in) groundsheets will offer enhanced protection from water, bugs, and drafts, but removable ones can be taken off for simpler cleaning or ventilation. A groundsheet won't be included in every tent, so it's a good idea to look at the spec or get an extra groundsheet for greater protection.
