Bowls and feeding FAQs
What is the best material for dog bowls?
Stainless steel is perfect for everyday use since it's strong, easy to clean and won't hold odors. While traveling, the lighter weights of silicone or BPA-free plastic bowls are more convenient, especially if you have minimal space. At Halfords, most travel bowls fold flat or attach to a bag, so they are ideal for days out or walks.
Are metal or plastic dog bowls better?
They both have their uses, but it's really down to what you need. Metal bowls, especially stainless steel, are robust, clean and long-lasting which makes them ideal for household use. Plastic bowls work well too, but they scratch easier and will need replacing more. When travelling, collapsible plastic or silicone bowls are lightweight and easy to take along. Halfords sells both types so you can choose what is best for you and your dog.
