Halfords Book A Service & Win A Car Prize Draw

These terms and conditions apply to your chance to win a car when purchasing a Service with us. This Prize Draw is promoted on the website www.Halfords.com (the Website) as a ‘Book A Service & Win A Car Prize Draw’.

Introduction

• This Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”) is open to all persons aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom except for Northern Ireland, excluding employees, and their immediate families, of Halfords Limited, their associated companies, agents, agencies, and anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw. Entrants must hold a valid driving license. The Prize Draw is open between 00:00am on 6th May 2025 and 11:59pm on 17th June 2025 (the “Prize Draw Period”).
• The Prize Draw is organised by Halfords Limited of Icknield Street Drive, Washford West, Redditch, Worcestershire B98 0DE, company number 103161 (“Halfords”).
• Entry is based on an online, National.co.uk or Autocentre purchase for a car service, as listed below, via Halfords’ webpage (halfords.com). The booking must be completed before the closing date of the Prize Draw to qualify entry.

• Immediately after booking one of the above services, the customer will be taken to a webpage confirming their purchase and including a link to the Prize Draw. In addition, if the customer has opted in to receive marketing materials, the customer will receive an email with a link to enter the prize draw. In either case, the customer will be taken to a webpage to enter the Prize Draw and must answer a knowledge-based question related to one of Halfords blogs on their webpage along with their contact details.
• By entering into the Prize Draw, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and by the decision of Halfords in relation to all matters relating to the Prize Draw, whose decision shall be final.
• Any personal data relating to customers will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party or outside of the Halfords Group without the winners’ prior consent. Halfords’ Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are available at halfords.com.  You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by following the instructions in any marketing we sent you.
• All entries must be received by Halfords by way of compliance with clause 3 above and within the Prize Draw Period. Incomplete, illegal, late or incorrect entries will not be accepted.  Halfords takes no responsibility for entries which are delayed, incomplete or lost.
• Halfords reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. Halfords may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until Halfords is satisfied with the verification. In particular, Halfords will require a copy of the winning entrant’s valid driving licence.  Halfords reserves the right to disqualify entrants from the Prize Draw if it has any reason to believe that efforts have been made to distort the competitive process or spirit of the Prize Draw, including but not limited to instances where voting for an entrant’s submission has been paid for or otherwise incentivised in any other way either by that entrant or on their behalf.
• Only one entry is permitted per person.
• In total there is one (1) main prize. The prize is a Hyundai Kona EV N Line S 65KWH car (the “Prize”).  Further details regarding the Prize can be found below. The selected winner (the “Winner”) will receive the Prize.
• In addition, there are twenty (20) runner up prizes. The prize for a runner up is a year’s premium membership to Halfords Motoring Club (the “HMC Prize(s)”). Twenty selected winners (the “HMC Winners”) will receive the HMC Prizes. In the event that a HMC Winner already has premium membership to Halfords Motoring Club, their cost of membership for the next years payment will be skipped and the 12month subscription will be paid by Halfords.
• Between the end of the Prize Draw Period and 1 July 2025, there will be one (1) Winner and twenty (20) HMC Winners drawn at random from all eligible entries by an independent person.
• Halfords will notify the Winner and the HMC Winners no later than 1 July 2025 by using the telephone number and/or email address provided by the Winners upon entering the Prize Draw and will provide details as to how to claim the Prize and the HMC Prizes. The message will be sent from a Halfords email account or phone number.
• Entrants are solely responsible for providing contact details which are correct at the time of and following the Prize Draw.
• The Winner and the HMC Winners will have 14 days from the time of being notified (the “Notice Period”) to claim the Prize and the HMC Prize.
• If the Winner or any of the HMC Winners have not responded to Halfords within the Notice Period, Halfords reserves the right to re-draw the Prize Draw without further notice to the initial Winner/HMC Winner.
• The Winner and the HMC Winners agree to participate in publicity resulting from the Prize Draw if requested to do so by Halfords and Halfords reserves the right to use the details of the Winner in any publicity. Halfords may ask for the Winner’s/HMC Winners’ consent to publish them on Halfords social media channels. The Winner and HMC Winners must represent and warrant that they either own or have necessary licenses in all content that they provide to Halfords, and that Halfords is able to use and publish such content, including their social media user name(s) on Halfords social media platforms and in marketing campaigns.
• No cash or other alternative will be offered in the event that any of the Winner or the HMC Winner(s) are unable to claim the prize for any reason.
• To obtain the name and country of the winners, please send a stamped SAE to Halfords.
• Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Halfords and accordingly Halfords may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the Prize Draw and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to Halfords as a result thereof. Any such variation or amendment will be notified at the point of entry for the Prize Draw.
• Any expenses incurred by the winner in the general use and/or enjoyment of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Neither Halfords nor agencies involved in this Prize Draw may be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to the Prize Draw. Halfords cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Prize Draw or as a result of accepting any prize. Nothing shall exclude Halfords’ liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
• The Prize Draw and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
• If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

The Prize

• The Prize is a vehicle of the make, model, year and condition as described on the Website in connection with the Prize Draw and there is one such Prize available to be won.
• The Prize will include free UK mainland delivery to the Winner’s home address. The Winner must produce photo identification (a passport or UK driving licence) which matches the details we hold for the winning entry. The Winner must also provide eligibility to drive by way of a UK driving licence.
• The Prize will be available from the 1st July, save that Hyundai will require a reasonable time following the Winner claiming the Prize to transport it to the customer’s home address, and otherwise subject to availability by Hyundai.
• Any costs and logistics relating to delivery of the Prize outside the UK mainland is the responsibility of the Winner.
• The Prize does not include any road tax, insurance or charging point for the vehicle, which will need to be arranged by the Winner.
• Halfords do not provide any warranty or guarantee for the Prize. The vehicle will come with the standard manufacturer’s warranty for a new vehicle of this type.
• Any costs that are incidental to the fulfilment of the Prize, including collection or transportation costs of the Prize outside of initial delivery within the UK mainland, or its tax or insurance, are the responsibility of the winner.
• We reserve the right to substitute the Prize with a cash alternative of equal or greater value. For the avoidance of doubt, an entrant cannot elect to receive a cash alternative.
• The Prize is not negotiable or transferable.
• The Prize will be registered in the Winner’s name upon delivery from the relevant Hyundai dealership. Halfords will transfer the Prize to the Winner by completing the vehicle logbook (V5) with the winner at their Premises at the time of collection of the Prize.
