Car manufacturers recommend carrying out an air conditioning service every two years in order to keep your air conditioning working at optimum level.

At Halfords, we offer car air conditioning services at all of our Halfords Autocentres across the UK and we have a team of dedicated experts are on hand to ensure your air conditioning is working as it should be. A free air con check at one of our Halfords retail stores is required before an Air Con Service at our Autocentre which includes

  • A temperature check.
  • A refrigerant check.
  • An inspection of the air conditioning system’s key components, such as the compressor, condenser, drive belts and hoses.
  • A leak test.

After the pre inspection service, we will offer you our full air con service, during which, we will work to your car manufacturer’s guidelines to replace and recharge lubricant and refrigerant levels within the system. If we identify any issues with your air con system during the pre inspection, we will discuss the recommended repairs with you before repairing the fault during the service.
