Hidria Glow Plug
Hidria is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of original quality glow plugs and it is a premium quality product which is manufactured in Europe. The same product we sell in the Hidria boxes is exactly the same as the product supplied to many of the major vehicle manufacturers production lines across the European Union. Euro Car Parts offer the complete range of Hidria Glow Plugs for all car and light commercial vehicles and can is exclusively supplied by Euro Car PartsHidria offer a 5 year warranty on all glow plugs although vehicle manufacturers service interval for glow plugs must be followed and not exceeded.
Diesel engines don't have spark plugs or an ignition system of any kind so it's up to the glow plugs to get it going when the engine is cold or ambient temperatures are low. While there is no scheduled replacement interval for glow plugs they do have a limited lifespan and are often forgotten about until they fail. The amount of heat which a glow plug produces diminishes over time and this causes the engine to become progressively harder to start in cold weather. For that reason it is advisable to replace the glow plugs every 40,000-60,000 miles.
