Electric Capability

The Shimano electric system represents a harmonious balance between power, efficiency and integration.

The latest-generation engine is placed in the bike's bottom bracket, providing steady and noiseless support while pedaling.

The Karga features a Shimano EP801 mid motor with 85Nm, whose output power can be adjusted to suit the terrain and the specific needs of the rider. The integrated 720Wh battery, housed in the down tube of the frame, provides exceptional range, enabling long rides.

Riders can track speed, distance, and battery level through a sunlight-readable LCD display, featuring customizable control panels for real-time adjustments.

Frame & Fork

It’s neither an enduro nor a trail bike. Thanks to its 160mm travel, the Karga aims to meet the needs of most cycling enthusiasts who want to keep fit while having fun.

The carbon fibre front frame triangle is fitted with a double-thickness aluminium rear frame triangle which accommodates the 29’’ wheels. Easy to pedal uphill, just the right level of agile downhill.

The RockShox Domain R fork features 160mm of travel to help smooth out the bumps while giving the rider assured handling.

 
 

Finishing Kit

This setup combines precision, durability, and performance, making it ideal for serious riding. The FSA Gradient Alloy handlebar (290g ±5%) ensures lightweight control, paired with the FSA Gradient stem and TOKEN headset for stability.

The Shimano Deore XT 1x12 drivetrain features an SL-M8100 shifter, RD-M8100-SGS rear derailleur, CSM8100-12 cassette (10-51T), and XT CN-M7100 chain for crisp, reliable shifting.

Stopping power is handled by Shimano Deore XT BR-M8120 four-piston brakes with RT-MT800 203mm rotors.

A Shimano EP801 integrated axle drive unit powers the FC-EM600 crankset, while Vittoria Mazza 29x2.4" TLR tyres provide grip and stability. The KS LEV-Si 100mm dropper seatpost and ergonomic saddle enhance rider comfort.

Range

All electric bikes specify a maximum mileage range achievable on a single battery charge. This represents the furthest distance under optimal conditions; however, several factors can influence this range:

  • The combined weight of the rider and any luggage.
  • The assistance mode selected.
  • The cycling route (e.g. type of terrain and inclines).
  • Temperature and climate (e.g. cold weather will decrease the performance of the battery).
  • Tyre pressure.
