Designed in Italy, the Air Pro has been analysed, tested and developed in collaboration with the Astana Pro Cycling Team, combined with the most innovative analysis systems and mathematical simulation data’s including the tests achieved in the Wind Tunnel, to produce an aerodynamic helmet which offers real benefits to the rider.

With Air Pro you achieve a 20% increase in air flow efficiency when compared to the Limar Ultralight+. On the road this translates to a 1 second saving every 10km.

After creating the lightest helmet in the world, Limar have never ceased in their mission to raise the bar in safety and performance. In collaboration with the Astana Pro Cycling Team they explored the aerodynamic limitations at the wind tunnel to take research and development further.

This resulted in a helmet that would have that sleek racing profile required on the grand stage and would be the ideal helmet for all racing conditions, whether the race was in early spring, or the height of summer.

The Air Pro uses an innovative construction process which adds carbon fibre in the helmet in a truly unique way. Utilising the high mechanical resistance and light weight of carbon fibre, it's built into the very heart of the helmet under a system named Carbon Coretech.

MIPS Air System
MIPS Air is a rotational management system (RMS) that is specifically developed and designed to be the lightest system possible to help reduce rotational energies otherwise transferred to the head during an impact or crash. The MIPS Air technology is integrated into the padding of the helmet and enables the 10-15mm of relative movement between the energy absorbing layer and the padding. The relative movement of the MIPS Air is enabled by a backing of polycarbonate PC with a special low friction treatment, which is held by specially designed fixations, enabling movement in all directions.

What makes the MIPS Air system even more incredible is that not only is it the lightest version of this safety system ever designed, it is integrated into the helmets padding and designed to fit each specific helmet and size. This means it is barely visible to the rider and adds only a very limited amount of weight to the helmet.

Carbon Coretech
The 3K carbon coupled with EPS foam provides a premium quality resistance core. Two structural wings merge with the side ribs of the helmet shell creating a high performance cage within the helmet which excels in terms of safety, aerodynamics and ventilation. Primarily used as a decorative finish in helmets before now, the 3K carbon in the Air Pro helmet is co-moulded with the EPS in 5 layers, and is now part of the structure of the helmet. It uses a similar process to that of the manufacture of bike frames.

Aerodynamics
The pyramidal surface of the long helmet ribs reduces the impact pressure since it cuts through the air and allows smooth riding. The thin integrated carbon wings allow easy inflow and improved air circulation and the extended tail prevents unwanted turbulence.
