Engineered with a specific rim profile that combines a 25mm internal width and our patented ISM4D technology, this wheelset can boost the performance of your bike with a price that’s accessible compared to carbon wheel options. The ISM4D process machines the rim in the areas with less stress to reduce weight without compromising strength. The rim also features our Black Shield technology, which protects against scratches and dents so you can charge hard through rock gardens and rough singletrack.

The rims are made with our patented Fore technology with a fully sealed upper rim bridge that eliminates the need for rim tape. This saves 30 grams per wheel, not to mention the hassles associated with tape when setting up tubeless tyres. The new Infinity hub is lighter and features a new spoke lacing which increases stiffness for better power transfer, and the Instant Drive 360 freewheel with a double ratchet provides fast engagement.

• Maxtal aluminium alloy – Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminium alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.
• ISM 4D light rim technology – Inter Spoke Milling 4 dimensions is an exclusive Mavic patented concept. The ISM 4D significantly reduces weight and inertia without compromising durability. • Fore tapeless tubeless technology – Stiffer and stronger. Instead of being drilled, the lower rim bridge is pushed up on the inside, then threaded to enable the spoke nipples to be directly screwed in it, leaving the upper rim bridge intact.
• Instant Drive 360 freewheel technology – The new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is super light and efficient. A large contactless rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it super versatile.
• UST tubeless technology – Traction and control. Universal Standard for Tubeless. Ready to ride tubeless system. The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort whilst reducing inertia and flats.
• SUP welding technology – Factory Welded Process, stronger and smoother joint. After bending, the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish.
• Black Shield treatment – This treatment doubles the rim's lifespan against stone impacts and scratches. Super strong double coated treatment with a matt finish.
• Infinity hub design – Efficient power transfer thanks to optimised non-contact spoke lacing (no noise under load) and tension distribution. The length of the spokes at the front and rear is identical. Maintenance is easy thanks to a tool-free solution.
• QRM Auto bearing preload technology – The cartridge bearings are of course double sealed with C3 internal clearance. Their preload is automatically adjusted to guarantee a perfect spin with no play in the long run.

Compatibility:

• Shimano Micro Spline freehub is compatible with 1x12-speed Shimano Micro Spline Mountain Bike and Gravel cassettes only. Freehub conversion kits can be purchased separately for Shimano HG or SRAM XD cassettes.
• Front wheel is configured for forks with 15x110mm (boost) thru axle spacing. Rear wheel is configured for frames with 12x148mm (boost) rear thru axle spacing. Adapter conversion kits are available separately for boost quick release. Torque cap adapter kit is also available separately to convert the front wheel hub ends to 31mm.
• Centre Lock disc brake interface for compatibility with Centre Lock disc rotors.
