Wynns Power Steering Stop Leak 125ml is rated out of 5 by 12.Rated 1 out of 5 by Cou1ta5 from No fix for severe leaks. I used this product on my old 1999 Golf and it was unfortunately unsuccessful. I can't say that it won't work for those of you that have small leaks, but it certainly didn't work for my major leak. I followed the instructions and the leak remained, so ended up pouring the lot in and it was the same result.Date published: 2018-10-09Rated 5 out of 5 by 95TVR from Cured a leak on an old TVR Chimaera My TVR had been stored for many years before I bought it and consequently there are lots of dried up seals around the car. The power steering was no exception and it would leak 3-4 tablespoons of oil over the garage floor overnight after each potter around town. Not a significant amount but enough to make a mess over chassis, the garage floor and drips down the driveway. I put half a tube of this stuff in and after about 50 miles the power steering leak was completely sorted. No leaks on the floor at all! I was really surprised. There is still the odd little drip that forms over a few days but I can live with that. The alternative was a £300 refurbishment. 500 miles and 6 months on and still good... hence this review.Date published: 2018-08-19Rated 1 out of 5 by Jackoup2 from Rubbish Didn't work at all waste of money. I bought this with the hope of sorting out a slow drip drip of power steering fluid but it hasn't worked In fact it seems worseDate published: 2018-05-29Rated 1 out of 5 by Blacky1986 from Didn't work I have this product two weeks and 600miles to see If it would cure a minor leak on the low pressure return. Sadly it had the opposite effect and seemingly doubled the size of the leak that I had been experiencing for the past 5 months. I would recommend sorting the problem rather than hoping these magic potions will help you and putting the £9 towards the actual repair. Should have known better.Date published: 2018-01-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris66UK from Fixed slow leak My Volvo was losing about 75ml of PS fluid a week, though I was unable to determine where from. Added this product over 6 months ago and the level has remained fine since. No effect on steering performance.Date published: 2016-10-22Rated 5 out of 5 by lawma6969 from Worth a try! Worked for me. My car continued to leak power steering fluid, to the point where I had to top up the reservoir daily, after researching online and speaking to a bunch of mechanics I came to the conclusion that I needed to replace my power steering rack! (For those who don't know this can cost as much as £400) So in a last ditch attempt I thought I'd try Wynns Power Steering Stop Leak, it was just under £9 not really much to loose. Initially I noticed no effect, yet after a few days of driving I started to notice how the leak slowed dramatically. Now it's pretty much stopped (Hopefully it will stay this way!) Am very pleased with this buy! Must note that the ratio of steering fluid to stop leak is a bit complicated (125ml to 2litres) so in the end I ended up putting all of the stop leak into the reservoir.Date published: 2016-09-17Rated 3 out of 5 by lex03 from Reason for rating I had a leak from the powered steering system that looked like a rubber to metal leak. Put in product, but no change to leak. Further investigation revealed rusted and leaking mild steel pipe, so, not able to give a better rating as intended performance could not be judged.Date published: 2016-08-21Rated 4 out of 5 by SussexPetrolHead from Good product poor store service One thing to note this is an additive to the power steering fluid not a sealant like instant gasket. It did stop a small leak from a hard to reach pipe.Date published: 2015-07-11
